There’s been a resurgence in interest about mass murderer Anders Breivik’s Manifesto recently. Someone (we won’t say who) just can’t accept facts, but his initials are Charles Johnson, projectionist extraordinaire. We heard a rumor that he changed political views a while back, and now he’s a radical Lutheran collecting Jello/milk/fruit mould recipes. Johnson’s been stamping his feet and flailing his pudgy fists on Twitter and LGF, screeching that he was never mentioned in Breivik’s deranged screed even though the facts prove otherwise.
The Magical Jazzy 61-year-old ponytailed guitarist who hasn’t recorded anything significant since the 1970s, who falsely claims Buckhead’s and Jeremy Chrysler’s work on Rathergate as his own, who ran his profitable blog into the ground while backstabbing those who helped him along the way, is now in his fourth day of whining about a link tweeted by Glenn Greenwald on 16 April.
We decided to simplify the graphics for the pro-ponytail crowd. We’ve stripped away the most quoted source in Breivik’s diatribe (Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch) to show the other references. We used the numbers posted by ThinkProgress and included the (omitted) number of times “Charles Johnson” and “Little Green Footballs” were mentioned, not counting footnotes. Screeching colors don’t lie.
The point is that Charles Johnson cannot claim that he was an insignificant influence in the mind of a madman, yet Johnson used those same numbers to attack others, as if they were directly responsible for the Oslo Massacre.
If that’s not simple enough, try this:
One of the graphics is a fabrication, the other is an illustration. No matter which one you choose, Charles, you owe a bunch of apologies before you demand one from Glenn Greenwald – and it’s doubtful that Greenwald owes you anything after all the au gratis attention he’s thrown your way, you #Rumpswab.
[From KUSI San Diego 25 March 2014]
EL CAJON (CNS) – Jury selection is scheduled to begin Wednesday in the murder trial of an Iraqi man accused of fatally beating his wife in their El Cajon home after she asked for a divorce.
Opening statements in the trial of Kassim Alhimidi are expected next week.
Alhimidi, 49, was arrested on Nov. 8, 2012, by El Cajon police in what was first thought to be a hate crime. His wife, 32-year-old Shaima Alawadi, was found mortally injured with at least six head wounds in their Skyview Street residence on March 21, 2012.
First-responders found a note in the home that read, “This is my country, go back to yours, terrorist.”
When the murder hit the news in March 2012, Charles Johnson jumped on it as undeniable evidence of U.S. anti-Muslim bigotry, linked to some Think Progress propaganda, then named the perpetrators:
Yeah, that’s the same Think Progress that posted mass murderer Anders Brevik’s top influences, yet kinda sorta forgot to mention the 3rd runner up in the “Manifesto” was
Charles “I AM LITTLE GREEN FOOTBALLS” Johnson himself.
[Hat tip to @markhumphrys for reminding us.]
UPDATE: Contributor Hercales posted the story on Diary of Daedalus on 15 November 2012 and included this quote from Nina Burleigh of Time Magazine:
New information in the Shaima Alawadi murder case in El Cajon, Calif., suggests that the family was cracking over a forced marriage for daughter Fatima, 17, and that Alawadi herself was preparing to divorce her husband. If female freedom turns out to be at the heart of the murder, it will highlight not so much the intolerance of Muslim immigrants by Americans, but the cultural restrictions on women in those communities …
This was not a run-of-the-mill domestic dispute. Kassim Alhimidi beat his wife to death with a tire iron…
Yep, that’s “Stinky Beaumont” with his banning stick circa 1862. Meanwhile there’ve been some folks here axing for graphs, so we plugged some pertinent info into Alexa only to find that their stuff is now a mess.
No way no how is Charles Johnson’s Little Green Rumpswabs close to 100K over that span. Alexa‘s got some splainin’ to do.
Let’s talk about statistics. Better yet, let’s show them.
We decided to compare Charles Johnson’s “Little Green Footballs” with another blog, and chose one named “Atlas Shrugs” completely arbitrarily. It is a news aggregator blog similar to that of Charles Johnson‘s, written and managed by a woman named Pamela Geller. Given that Charles Johnson is practically a house-holed name, we decided to compare traffic stats between LGF and a relatively unknown blogger. We plugged both URLs into The Alexa Machine and saw this:
Interesting. So then we thought to delve further, and check out what kind of people visit Little Green Footballs. This time the results were not so surprising:
Huh. A bunch of older uneducated unmarried couch-bound guys are fans of Little Green Footballs. That’s an odd niche, and it’s no wonder the traffic is well below average for a blog of that age and type. So then we wondered what the valuation of such a blog might be, so we used a free online calculator.
Okay, you can stop snickering now. That number is not credible. The real number is closer to $10k, assuming someone is willing to pay that much for a hole in the ground. Oh, and Charles, there’s this: $315 Million.
Sometimes the 60 year old Magical Jazzy Brasnapper makes things too easy for us.
Update: Robert Spencer slams Charles Johnson.
Pamela Geller published a piece at Breitbart News yesterday, challenging self-proclaimed moderate Muslim groups to do something effective, beyond vague condemnations, to stop the jihad terror attacks they ostensibly oppose. Not surprisingly, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the notorious pseudo-moderate Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood group, was quick to pounce:
They were linking to a hit piece by Charles Johnson at the blog Little Green Footballs. Longtime Jihad Watch readers may remember Johnson as a once-prominent counter-jihad blogger who, for reasons still unknown, betrayed all his principles and began devoting his time to smearing his former friends and associates. His site still exists, although it is now just a bitter, spiteful hate site wholly dedicated to defaming and destroying those who are trying to defend freedom. Having proven himself thoroughly untrustworthy, Johnson is shunned by the Left and despised by the Right. The only people who still take him seriously are the stealth jihadis at Hamas-linked CAIR, who find his hate screeds useful to demonize voices of freedom and clear away all obstacles to the advance of the bloody jihad that just struck on the streets of Boston, London and Paris. And so they eagerly distributed this piece: “Pamela Geller Spreads Hatred and Lies at Breitbart.com,” by Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs, May 29.
(Hat Tip: Robert Spencer)
Whenever something negative happens to Pam Geller, Charles Johnson gloats. Today he has a juvenile rant boasting about Geller being uninvited from speaking at Synagogue in Great Neck NY.
