LGF is on the rebound. Or not.

Last time we checked Alexa Stats, things were not looking good for Little Green Footballs but something happened in mid-March, and it appeared that Charles Johnson was on the road to a comeback. Unfortunately, that comeback was short-lived, and by late April he was back on track. LGF bumped and slumped again.

Still not sure why Alexa skews the x-axis, but check this out.

Alexa says, “Not enough traffic data,” but 2% of LGF traffic came from searches for “Ivanka Trump Panama” and Dana Loesch‘s husband.” Creep city.

As Charles Johnson’s Little Green Footballs declines, so does this website. So where do we go from here? Leave your suggestions and we’ll have a vote.

Charles Johnson. What a Hero. So where do we start?

One discourages mass murder, the other advertises an easy target.

More news has come out regarding the deranged gunman who killed 17 at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, with more proof that it was ultimately law enforcement failure that allowed Nikolas Cruz to achieve his psychotic goal. That’s right. Laws and procedures were already enacted and n place to stop this fuckface, but they were not enforced.

So who does the left blame? Donald Trump, the GOP, Marco Rubio, the NRA, and Dana Loesch. None of the MSM pundits blame the asswipe who did it, Nikolas Cruz, and none of them blame the local police or FBI for ignoring the clues, threats and tips.

And so does Charles Johnson, who brags that he lives in a gated community and owns a Mossberg assault weapon.

Some students sought to speak to the POTUS directly, while others were apparently given scripts and used as props by CNN to advocate for more firearm restrictions. These kids are distraught and grieving for their lost friends, and they’re vulnerable to manipulation.

So let’s discuss this civilly. Here’s a comment from the thread above:

Guilt-By-Association-Monger Charles Johnson promotes deranged followers calling for torture of people with dissenting opinions. Then there’s this:

Yes, and that father demanded security measures comparable to those in other government facilities, like courthouses and Barbara Streisand’s Malibu McMansion.

So did Charles Johnson blame the Parkland school shooting on Dana Loesch like he blamed Pamela Geller for Anders Breivik‘s mass slaughter?

Yeah. He did.

Dana Loesch met Charles @Lizardoid Johnson years ago but he erased his account content. After ongoing unwarranted harassment, this was her assessment:

Charles, you’re a 64 year old tool.

Stalk much, Charles?

Charle Johnson's Stalking Obsessions thru 1 March 2015

Heh. Charles has been harassing Glenn Greenwald since 2006, and he’s still cranking on about a dead man and an updated bar chart.

Charles, you so funny.

#TwitterGulag II: A Little Birdy Told Me

Charles F. Johnson is an amateur leftist. He can’t hide his lies and smears against those who supported him, regardless if his blogger buddies were on the right or left. He’s a man without a clue.

Seems there’s another way to get people who disagree with Charles F. Johnson to get their Twitter accounts suspended besides the infamous Twitter Comment Block/Report Trap. Spam Twitter CEO Dick Costolo (via #AskCostolo) with false complaints and accusations with no evidence until he caves just to shut them up. That’s exactly what happened to @Gus_807 and others. It’s the un-hidden leftist method: Lie And Lie Loudly. Read the rest of this entry »

PART 6 – CURRENT EVENTS & THE FUTURE OF LGF

No one argues that Charles Johnson had no right to change his mind politically. He has every right to do so. Happens all the time. What doesn’t happen all the time is when a one-time top-notch political blogger decides to attack those who helped push him into the spotlight rather than just carry on with his own business.

There are plenty of people who became more conservative after the tragic events of 9/11, Johnson among them. But the people who made Johnson’s blog great – his “Lizard Army,” his “minions” as they called themselves – were owed better than the backstabbing and subsequent kangaroo court trials followed by a bum’s rush to the door.

Once a loyal lizard was booted for stepping on one too many invisible eggshells, the vanquished was demonized by those remaining behind, and that’s what got people pissed off, both left and right, about Charles Johnson. He couldn’t be trusted. He exposed himself, not by his words, but by his actions. Johnson is nothing more than an opportunist with no loyalty to anyone but himself.

In retrospect, Johnson might have handled it better. He might have explained his progressive epiphany or allowed dissent on LGF, but he didn’t. There was no transition period, and without warning it was Johnson’s way or the highway. Over 16,000 people either picked the highway [1] or had the decision made for them. [2] Now Johnson presides over what is essentially an online cult. Johnson asserts that he doesn’t ban anyone for disagreeing with him or for questioning him, which is an out and out falsehood, and there are over 16K who know it.

The Little Green Footballs of today bears no resemblance to the Little Green Footballs of old. Today, Johnson and his blog are objects of ridicule, and the once insightful topic threads are merely echo chambers for his rants du jour. He makes feeble attempts to recapture national prominence by hawking outlandish claims against national conservative figures – a provocative Rush Limbaugh thread here, a Glenn Beck smear thread there, a snark against the GOP and Mitt Romney, hoping that someone will mention him. So far none have taken the bait, and none have done so because Johnson hasn’t come up with any original material.

That includes his one claim to fame: Rathergate. Believe it or not, Charles Johnson stole and took credit for that one, too.

PART 2- THE ASCENDANCE OF CHARLES JOHNSON AND LITTLE GREEN FOOTBALLS

Thread Topics, National Recognition and Commenting

It cannot be disputed that Charles Johnson was once noted for exposing radical Islam in stories that were not broadcast or found on what is termed the “mainstream media.” Johnson found interesting and newsworthy stories that went under-reported or ignored by the MSM and opened them up for discussion. He was celebrated for exposing rampant anti-Semitism found on Arabic television, especially in children’s programming. He documented efforts by the United States and others to eradicate terrorism, both politically and militarily, often sporting headlines such as “Got Two in Gaza!” or “Got Four in Lebanon!” referring to the number of enemy combatants killed.

More to the point, Little Green Footballs was interesting to read simply as an observer. His blog members at the time included well-educated, well-read individuals from all walks of life – physicians, attorneys, editors, engineers, meteorologists, teachers and other professionals, with first hand knowledge of the various topics presented for discussion. Review the comments section of any thread prior to 2009 dealing with world and domestic affairs and you will find a treasure trove of links, research, first-hand experience and commentary that rivaled anything offered by the alphabet networks and cable news.

Johnson was propelled to national attention and prominence as a central figure in the scandal known as “Rathergate,” the fraud promoted by Dan Rather and CBS. Rather and CBS proffered forged Texas Air National Guard memoranda[1] less than two months prior to the 2004 Presidential Election, in an effort to discredit President George W. Bush.
