Alouette Shows Her Ignorance About Uber

Economic literacy is not prevalent among the LGF’s band of losers and Alouette is one of the top ignoramuses when it comes to economic issues. Blinded by a devotion to Stalinist dogma, the resident Kapo attacks Uber.

The reason Uber is successful is due to market forces. In some localities, taxis are very oppressive due to government regulations or monopolies and Uber provides an alternative means of transportation. As a user I find it to be very convenient due to shorter waiting time and lower prices. If Alouette was really concerned about the taxi industry, she would push for deregulation that would allow taxis to lower their prices. The Kapo is just jealous that people are making money.

In a typical hypocritical stance, Alouette is OK with a similar service to Uber, this time involving apartments that benefited her. It’s not Rand Paul that views us consumers as peasants, it is Alouette and her Stalinist ideologues at LGF.

  1. In my experience of leftists, they don’t care about regulations because they are always confident they can game the system. What they really resent is whenever anyone else has success.

    • Not sure about that V, in so much as Leftoids love regs because a) it stifles competition, b) it is a crass exertion of extra-Constitutional legislation, and c) it provides income into the gummint treasury to fund more entitlements and welfare.

Deutschland Über Alles, is probably how the crazy old bat sees it. Chunky sees legions of VW busses traversing the highways and byways…all stolen from poor struggling black jazzmen.

  4. Octopus says:

The VW bus reminds me of the ONE time we saw Chunky apologize for something he’d done wrong. Even though it was too little, too late, and he disavowed the apology, at least there’s a slim chance the fat chancer showed a trace of human decency.

I was a huge fan of the first season of True Detective. I couldn’t WAIT for the next episode. This one? It records on Sunday and I frankly don’t get around to watching it until just about everything else in my queue is viewed. There is positively nothing holding my interest at this point.

      • Octopus says:

I think it’s warming up nicely, after a deadly slow start. Last night’s episode was nuts — things escalated quickly, at the end. I like Vaughn’s character, for him, as we haven’t seen much of his dark side on film. I was hating Farrell’s drunk, and suddenly he’s become a real person.

I think there’s going to be a wild finish.

  15. Chunky's Missing Brain says:

Despite their repeated and continual attempts to white wash it, time and time again Islam is the inspiration for mass murder. This one’s no different.

Alexander Ciccolo is accused in a criminal complaint unsealed Monday of receiving four guns July 4 from a person cooperating with the Western Massachusetts Joint Terrorism Task Force.

An FBI affidavit says the 23-year-old Adams resident had talked with the cooperating witness in recorded conversations about his plans to commit acts inspired by the Islamic State group, including setting off pressure-cooker bombs at an unidentified university. According to the affidavit, he said the attack would include executions of students broadcast live online.

Before his arrest, agents had observed Ciccolo buying a pressure cooker similar to those used in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing

He planned to kill and hurt a lot of people in the most grisly and monstrous way. Because Islam is awesome.

And it turns into high comedy. Iran has made it clear they’re only engaging us to try and fuck us over. Obungle and the Herman Munster have been badly punked on this whole thing, much like their handling of Syrian atrocities.

They want the bomb so they can kill some fucking Jews and Americans. Just like they chant repeatedly at state parades. But leftists are sure they can find common ground with traiterous goatfuckers. Says a lot.

Judge continues to harrass D’Souza. Pretends like he’s insane even when psych doctors disagree because he’s conservative. Typical 1984 tactics. Guess this science is not settled and judges know better.

D’Souza’s defense counsel Benjamin Brafman provided evidence to the court that the psychiatrist D’Souza was ordered to see found no indication of depression or reason for medication. In addition, the psychologist D’Souza subsequently consulted provided a written statement concluding there was no need to continue the consultation, because D’Souza was psychologically normal and well adjusted.

But Judge Berman, who was appointed by Bill Clinton, disagreed, effectively overruling the judgment of the two licensed psychological counselors the U.S. probation department had approved as part of D’Souza’s criminal sentence.

“I only insisted on psychological counseling as part of Mr. D’Souza’s sentence because I wanted to be helpful,” the judge explained. “I am requiring Mr. D’Souza to see a new psychological counselor and to continue the weekly psychological consultation not as part of his punishment or to be retributive.

He’s just trying to help D’Souza to not be crazy. Oh and stop producing conservative videos and books and pointing out that leftists are clearly traitors including the Preezydunce.

Over privileged white guy who wrote hits for brainless tarts Ross and Houston to sing. No one cares.

OK I don’t know that Diana Ross is brainless. She’s probably not. But Houston was surely a fool just based on what she threw away in her life. Namely her singing, her reputation, her professionalism, her marketability, her earnings. Even her daughter who has now ended up in similar life ending circumstances even sooner. Had her mom been normal and not a coked up idiot I doubt that would’ve happened.

Of course to say that is racist in Fatso McToot’s book.

    • Octopus says:

Ross was smart enough to hook up with the boss, Berry Gordy. He was smitten with her, and she had at least one “love child” with him…maybe two. Did wonders for her career.

    The Obungle economy:

In 1969 it was 2.8 mil. Can you imagine how much fraud there is? Every gangster drug dealer hustling on the corner goes down and applies and gets these benefits. As does every barely literate ne’er do well. I had a cousin who drove truck and lived with his girlfriend and her kids. She got these benefits even though he made good money. She simply lied when she filled out the form and claimed to be single. It’s that easy and no one checks.

    • Octopus says:

The fraud is incredible. I’ve known lots of people over the years who gamed the system. It’s basically an honor system, and too many losers have no honor. Meet Chunky and Gus!

  23. Chunky's Missing Brain says:

Something fishy here. The atheist’s free speech rights were curtailed ostensibly due to “insulting to the faithful” and citing the Russian Orthodox church in particular. But the region where the court made it’s ruling is mostly Chechnyan conservative Muslims which I’m guessing are the real culprits.

More loss of free speech due to Muslims. Atheists can be just as insulted by religious assertions of faith in the supernatural. And many pastors, priests and preachers can be downright insulting to we of little faith, as well. And they should be free to do so.

  32. I can no longer be astonished by the sheer ignorance and idiocy of the Left. I happen to be an UBER driver, and the reason this model is making so much money is mind-boggling simple — the rider is not paying for the overhead of a fleet or privately owned MEDALLION cab.
UBER takes roughly 20 percent of the fare, to cover their operating costs. I have to pay for my gasoline, my up-keep, my insurance — the insurance is an important part of this, you cannot drive without the maximum amount of overage for liability. And every driver goes through an extensive background check; criminal, credit, etc. Every rider is also vetted. I’ve never felt uncomfortable with any rider in the four months I’ve been doing this.
I drove for a metered cab service in northern New Jersey on and off over the last 25 years, and I will tell you this: the fleet of cars are mostly [now changing] used police cruisers with >200K miles on them, and they are rickety, noisy, dangerous machines that require lots of maintenance. A fair number of the drivers are sorry-ass down-and-out types who can do not much else. Apparently, UBER drivers are part-timers looking to make a few extra dollars. Every rider I’ve encountered tells me they prefer the ease, the availability, the efficiency, the professionalism, the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle [you cannot drive with a car older than 10 years, or with any kind of body rot or damage, unlike many metered cabs.
As far as all that ‘rule following’ this bloviating schmuck refers to, are the only rules: traffic and safety every driver must obey. Hack drivers go through no special training, no special anything that makes them better or different. In fact, most hack drivers have more than enough moving violations on their driving records. No UBER driver is given a green light with so much as one speeding ticket or two points on their license.
All those regs are just money for the city and state. The whining about UBER is that the gummint can’t stick its greedy paws into the pie.
So, Alouette, you stupid, hateful gash, do some research before you spew your stupidity.
    But you don’t read here.

    • And BTW the way you dumb slit, I am making a very decent chunk of change with UBER.

      • ISpeakJive says:

        Nice. I think it’s a great idea.
We took a yellow cab into NYC from the airport and the cab kiosk guy said it would be like $90 including the tolls. When we got to the toll booths the driver wanted us to pay cash, and when we landed at the hotel, he wanted the full $90 on top of it. (For a 25 minute ride at 1 in the morning.) It ended up to be around $135.
The ride back to the airport was $45 + tip.
        Uber is fantastic. 🙂

      • This is an interesting comment/observation on the mindset of the totalitarian, regressive Left when it comes to the new economic interface.
