Glenn Greenwald puts Charles in a predicament

Glenn Greenwald released an article on the NSA spying on 5 Muslim Americans. Under normal circumstances Charles to prove his pro-Islamic bonifide would be condemning the spying on Muslims. Since Greenwald broke the story, Charles is put in a very tight spot and does an incoherent post.

Greenwald Dilema Greenwald Dilema2 Greenwald Dilema3 Greenwald Dilema4 Greenwald Dilema5

Charles really was put in a ideological pretzel on this. He wants to lash out at Greenwald, but does not want to piss Muslims off.

Hey Chunk maybe even the liberal media aren’t so stupid they think one lunatic in Texas is a bigger story and more alarming trend than say….this epidemic of shootings in a northern Demoncrap city Preezydent Obungle just happens to hale from and is supposed to be “gunz free”:

Robert Redford is gonna play Dan Rather in a new movie about Rathergate. Wonder who should play Chunky?

    • Octopus says:

Well, since this was the short-lived skinny-version of Dear Fatass, I think a starved-down Hollywood guy with a face for radio would be ideal. He’ll still be better-looking than Our Chunky McDumbth, but not too handsome to distract from Redford. I think I have the guy:

    • Arachne says:

Oh yeah, 10th anniversary. This isn’t “All the President’s Men” Bob – no one really gives a shit about Rather – unless you’re going to say he was FRAMED – which we all know he wasn’t. Got caught with his pants down, figuratively speaking. If these memos had been against KERRY, they’d have gone over them with a fine tooth comb.

My big question is – who’s gonna play BUCKHEAD!?

      • Because gun free zone!! says:

With Redford involved there isn’t any way this isn’t going be sympathetic to Rather. Which I find hysterical because if Chunky or LGF are mentioned at all they’re going to portrayed as vicious wingnut haters and villains.

      • Arachne says:

Frankly, I don’t think that Fatass will be mentioned at all. While he believes the “throbbing memo” was the catalyst behind it all, you must remember that my firm at the time (I’ve since moved on) handled the case. Never mentioned in our papers. Not once.

      • Because gun free zone!! says:

Ha! That will hurt even worse. No mention whatsoever.

    • Because gun free zone!! says:

OMG! Moonbat ancient ex-dreamboat to play moonbat ancient has-been faux journalist, libtard activist hack. Can’t wait to miss it. Should be quite a comical whitewash.

And what a great way to shine a spot light on Chunk’s RIGHT WING blog!!! LOL! Just when he was hoping people would forget, they make a movie about how RIGHT WING wingnut bloggers like Chunky Boo Hoo Johnson brought down one of the progtard left’s most beloved patriarchs.

      How’s that rebranding going Chunky?

      • Arachne says:

I do wonder when he is going to try to backtrack on the whole Rathergate thing. I see him mentioned from time to time elsewhere and there are a LOT of lefties who don’t give a crap if he “left the right” (*sigh*) – they hold him partially responsible for the fact that Bush was re-elected (frankly I think that all that happened here was that Kerry’s planned smear of Bush wasn’t allowed to flower – the people who voted for Bush wanted to vote for Bush and didn’t want that horse-faced gigolo in the White House – it’s really not fair to blame Fatass for the Bush win – he really didn’t have anything to do with it).

I’m guessing that’s the Rodan audio. Oh brother.

Hey Chunk isn’t that audio from before your blog was the go to anti-Muslim hate blog (your definition, not mine)? How does anyone even know that’s who you say it is? But a quick Google reveals how two faced you are and how you used to praise GW Bush, Rummy and Cheney and mock the left as Idiotarians and Islamist loving appeasers and used terms like splodey dope, car swarm, RoP and St. Pancake. And posted on Islamist atrocities ALL DAY LONG every day just like Pam Geller still does today so as to show a kind of pattern of brutality, hatred, intolerance and violence where ever Islam takes hold.

    • Octopus says:

OMFG, it’s written by Mary Mapes. 😆

This movie is going to be a classic bit of revisionism. Mapes’ character may be literally crucified, at some point. Too funny!

      • Because gun free zone!! says:

They supposedly already have the beautiful, glamorous and exotic looking Cate Blanchet for the part of Mapes.

      • Octopus says:

They couldn’t get Joy Behar? 😯

It occurs to me that this will be a tricky story to cover, for Dear Fatass. He’ll desperately want to toot his own bicycle-horn, despite the plagiarist nature of his involvement in the story, which angle will have to be tweeted out to his two followers by the “far-right psycho-stalkers” who are his only “fans” these days.

Past that briar-patch, are the legions of still-butthurt Koz Kidz who haven’t forgotten the Old Days, before the Moronic Conversion of Fuckface. They will be ready to pounce, should he discuss his much-ballyhooed role in the sordid little scandal that ended the careers of Rather and Mapes.

Better think this one over, Chunky. Maybe you can find a way to make yourself look less wingnutty, without completely disavowing your peripheral involvement in publicizing Buckhead’s work. Good luck with that. 🙂

      • Because toot his own bicycle horn? says:

      • Octopus says:

At the time, it was like the horn-solo in this song, around 1:45…

      • Arachne says:

Funny you should say that – Daedalus and I were emailing this a.m. about this topic and how surprising it was that Blubber the Wonder Blogger hasn’t been tweeting out inane speculation about who will play him in the movie – he being the one who broke the story according to his own puffery. My guess is that the post above is spot on – he may very well mention it at LGF, where he has some minions left that won’t hold it against him, but his Twitter followers (well, those that aren’t the conservatives that follow him for the retweet and laughter factors) on the left would not look favorably on him after being reminded that he helped get Bush a second term.

From the story, I gather the deceased female is involved in the same gang warfare that’s behind most of the tidal wave of gore in Rahm’s Chicago. Great community organizing going on there, btw. Very organized, the crime.

Does anyone know when the Race Brothers (Jackson, Sharpton, et al) will be flying into Chicago to hold pressers about the outrage of Our People being slaughtered by, erm, Our People? I mean, carnage on this scale, compared to the Trayvon case…what do you mean, they aren’t coming?!

    • Octopus says:

Dickinson is a piece of, er, work. I’d say this was career-suicide, but it appears he’s got less chance of being elected than Chunky has of winning the Tour de France. I strongly suspect he’s got pics of his own Weiner circulating the twittersphere.

      • Arachne says:

He’s not even on the ballot – he missed the filing deadline for the Democrat primary and unless another party picks him up (and given his Twitter timeline I’m thinking even the most radical want NOTHING to do with him – that’s how scuzzy he is) he’ll be hoping for a write-in surge. Suuuuuuuure.

Meanwhile, we are reporting this to Twitter. See FATASS? THIS is the kind of depraved shit you actually REPORT.

  17. Arachne says:

Back to the Rather movie, unless Redford is going to take the Mapes book (on which it is based. Really? Bob, this book was NOT “All the President’s Men” – that was a bestseller – this went to the bargain bin in two weeks), he better do some heavy fictionalizing – because a lot of the people he wants to portray are not public figures and he doesn’t have the protection of the Sullivan decision if he wants to smear them. He also won’t be able to use that “any resemblence” disclaimer either if he changes the names. Gonna be hard – Buckhead isn’t a public figure per se. And you can’t have this movie without him.

      • Arachne says:

And what changed, Fatass, between the time you puffed up that Rather was NOT blameless in this and now? Facts haven’t changed, the situation hasn’t changed.

    • KGB says:

Rather was clueless? Is that why he stands by the documents to this day? Is that why he had to be dragged kicking and screaming from his anchor’s chair?

      • Arachne says:

Is that why he SUED CBS? He should have sued Burkett, Lucy Ramirez and Mary Mapes. All three should have gone straight to effing JAIL for forging government documents. It was a gift from the Bush administration that they weren’t prosecuted.

    • ISpeakJive says:

Yeah, he was just a dumb reader, but I BROUGHT HIM DOWN!!!!!!

  22. Pakimon says:

If you look at Chunkles’ Twitter timeline, He’s honking his bicycle horn to let everyone know that it was he who brought down Dan Rather with his Buckhead’s “throbbing memo”. 🙄

I have a feeling by the end of tonight, his gloating is going to transform into shrill and hysterical bleats of impotent rage as more and more people see his blatant attention-whoring and decide to “set the record straight” and start to pile on. 😆

    • Because no one's surprised I'm changing my story on this too says:

Arachne pointed out too, and I’m noticing this on the movie story articles they only make passing reference to the internet helping to bring Rather down. At best they helped prompt the thorough CBS internal investigation which found the documents couldn’t be authenticated resulting in an apology from CBS, Mapes firing and Rather looking like either a crook or fool. Chunk now wants to pretend he’s a fool but I’d be willing to bet he told Mapes and team to get him something, real or not.

      • Arachne says:

Redford isn’t going to want to blame the Internet for this. Who he wants to indict is Fox News, perhaps Drudge and the great, vast, non-existent right-wing conspiracy. Buckhead is not a public figure and even though he broke the story on Freep, I seriously doubt that Redford is going to get any help from him. If Mapes did not indict the internet in her book, or minimized it’s role for whatever reason, I can’t think how they have a story in this. Unless the new myth is the Bill Burkett was secretly working for the Republicans and did this to bring them all down, I don’t know where they can go with this.

There are facts that cannot be disputed: (1) the documents came to CBS through an unaccredited source and were never ever authenticated; (2) Killian’s own family says that was not what Killian thought, although Killian’s secretary at the time remembers it with incredible clarity (makes no sense – why would she even remember Bush’s service – he was just one of many kids that joined TANG); and (3) EVERY document authenticator that viewed the documents refused to authenticate anything but Killian’s signature, and even then only ONE expert was willing to go on the limb.

In point of fact, the minute there was no authentication, CBS should have stopped the story. I think they were caught with their pants down. I’d like to believe they were unaware of the conspiracy between Burkett, Mapes and the Kerry campaign to smear a sitting President. Reminding everyone, of course, that this same network gave short-shrift to the eye-witness accounts of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, who served with Kerry and knew him to be the coward and fraud he later revealed – lying during Congressional hearings, smearing fellow troops, tossing “fake”medals over the wall. Yeah, THOSE guys – they had an agenda. But not CBS, right guys?

  23. Because no one's surprised I'm changing my story on this too says:

    Yeah AMAZING!

@politicalglutto The amazing thing: with all the editors at CBS, nobody recognized they could not possibly have come from a typewriter.

Amazing eh Chunk. Didn’t seem that amazing to you back then when you posted pictures at LGF of the parked CBS news truck with pro Kerry/Edwards stickers and materials on the dash.

    • Arachne says:

Amazing, too, that it took a lawyer in Atlanta two minutes viewing them on the screen to know they were forgeries. Not an IT guy, mind you – just a guy familiar with the workings of proportionally spaced font.

  24. Pakimon says:

    Edited for Accuracy:

  25. KGB says:

  26. Pakimon says:

TRANSLATION: The rabid RW partisans are going to say and give proof that I stole the Rathergate throbbing memo from Buckhead at FreeRepublic and shamelessly passed it off as my own work.

    • Arachne says:

Pak – Buckhead didn’t have the “throbbing memo” – that was Jeremy Chrysler at Pacetown, who had posted the .gif two days before Fatass did. And as for the overlay, we’ve already shown that posters at LGF were already claiming that they had already performed the default Word setting experiment.

Buckhead was the one who broke the story. Fatass didn’t even watch the 60 Minutes report.

      • Pakimon says:

Thanks for the clarification. I had always assumed that Buckhead was the one who had come up with the original throbbing memo.

  27. Pakimon says:

What would be sad if it weren’t so hilarious is that Chunky really thinks that this Rathergate movie is going to propel him back into relevance and his former glory.

He is mind-bogglingly oblivious to the fact that this is only going to result in him getting another series of vicious paddlings of his immense ass.

It happens every time he leaves the safety of The Bog and his little Twitter bubble yet he never learns… 😆
