It’s Only Shari’ah: Will Johnson Apologise to Geller & Spencer? Nah.

[From KUSI San Diego 25 March 2014]

EL CAJON (CNS) – Jury selection is scheduled to begin Wednesday in the murder trial of an Iraqi man accused of fatally beating his wife in their El Cajon home after she asked for a divorce.

Opening statements in the trial of Kassim Alhimidi are expected next week.

Alhimidi, 49, was arrested on Nov. 8, 2012, by El Cajon police in what was first thought to be a hate crime. His wife, 32-year-old Shaima Alawadi, was found mortally injured with at least six head wounds in their Skyview Street residence on March 21, 2012.

First-responders found a note in the home that read, “This is my country, go back to yours, terrorist.”

When the murder hit the news in March 2012, Charles Johnson jumped on it as undeniable evidence of U.S. anti-Muslim bigotry, linked to some Think Progress propaganda, then named the perpetrators:

Muslim Woman Beaten To Death 2012
________________________________________________________________
Really, Charles. They “…played a large part?” The Lizards jumped into the echo line behind Johnson. Here’s a sample:
Muslim Woman Beaten To Death 2012 2

Yeah, that’s the same Think Progress that posted mass murderer Anders Brevik’s top influences, yet kinda sorta forgot to mention the 3rd runner up in the “Manifesto” was
Charles “I AM LITTLE GREEN FOOTBALLS” Johnson himself.

BREIVIK'S GREATEST HITS

[Hat tip to @markhumphrys for reminding us.]

UPDATE: Contributor Hercales posted the story on Diary of Daedalus on 15 November 2012 and included this quote from Nina Burleigh of Time Magazine:

New information in the Shaima Alawadi murder case in El Cajon, Calif., suggests that the family was cracking over a forced marriage for daughter Fatima, 17, and that Alawadi herself was preparing to divorce her husband. If female freedom turns out to be at the heart of the murder, it will highlight not so much the intolerance of Muslim immigrants by Americans, but the cultural restrictions on women in those communities

This was not a run-of-the-mill domestic dispute. Kassim Alhimidi beat his wife to death with a tire iron…

I remember when that bullshit story first broke, there were skeptical comments posted on this blog, urging a wait-and-see approach. It smelled very fishy, though obviously the Weiner Hoover was sucked right in, along with his few remaining moron-minions. Did he ever post a retraction/apology? Any kind of acknowledgement of how thoroughly wrong he got it? I don’t believe he did. 😆

Note: He gets every story wrong, trying to turn it into yet another libturdish scandal, or outrage-porn. FAIL!

Charles Johnson is not renowned for retracting stories or apologizing even if he’s trying to frame people for murder. He doesn’t have the decency for that sort of thing and besides, he’s not exactly a humble sort of guy. Most likely he’ll ignore the story and allow it to stand.

I was surprised to find out who followed Johnson. An impressive conservative lineup in some cases – Heritage Foundation among others. Leads me to believe that they either follow him to see what the other side thinks or they simply haven’t paid attention to anything he’s written lately.

5.0 out of 5 stars Little Green Footballs: The Best Newsjunkie Haven Right or Left, June 13, 2009
By Robert A Delany (Sacramento, California)

This review is from: Little Green Footballs (Kindle Edition) Little Green Footballs is one of the most addictive sites on the net for newshounds and political junkies of all stripes. There are many great features that keep you on top of news and the latest controversies minute by minute as well as great analysis in the comments that contrasts what the rest of the blogosphere is saying. LGF has four great things going for it which make it a favorite site of journalists and bloggers everywhere.

The first is the owner, Charles “Icarus” Johnson, who is a great journalist in his own right having broken many stories, scandals, and controversies over the past few years. He is unyielding in his hunt for facts and when the facts go against conventional wisdom he fearlessly bursts the bubble. No ox, left or right, is too sacred for him to gore. A few of his coups are the downfall of Dan Rather over the faked memo, the missile shots “fauxtoshopped” recently by Iran, the many examples of leftist, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian media manipulation, his exposure of Discovery Institute’s fraudulent political campaign to get intelligent design taught in science classes, and his thorough outing of the European Fascist right as well as their many connections to the Paleoconservative and Bircher wing of the right in the US.

He is expert in analyzing politics and the middle east, and is particularly good at enumerating the extremists in all camps. His affinity for truth makes him one of the most trustworthy sources on the net, which is quickly losing credibility through incessant spamming of conspiracy theories, knee-jerk reactions, outrage of the day posts, and “follow-their-favorite-pundit” blogger clones.

The second great thing is the community aka “The Lizards” who add comments to every post by the hundreds – they analyze, dig for further leads, and often turn over rocks you won’t find in the mainstream press. Over the years the community has grown tremendously, but the people who stay long term tend to be good debaters, factual; and like the website proprietor, they are honest to a fault.

They don’t care about bruising tender net egos in their debates because the key thing that differentiates the lizards from other web communities is their allegiance to factual evidence. (some of the bad reviews here are from those crushed in the melee of factual debate who then moved on to start LGF stalker blogs – a phenomenon that speaks to the strengths of the lizard community.)

Many experts in terrorism, journalism, science, philosophy, technology, and business are members, and when news breaks they are right on top of it. You will find that the Lizard’s google-fu is exceptional; they will root out the pertinent sites and factual data within minutes of any major event. They also put forth good speculation and analysis from their own expertise, and get to the facts before many news agencies. There’s a clear reason why most major news outlets tail the comments at Little Green Footballs during any major breaking event.

As an example when the highway bridge fell over the Mississippi the lizards located several local sources liveblogging the event and linked them, and the community analyzed the photos, compared them to past photos, and predicted accurately the point where the bridge had failed and the order the spanfalls occurred in accurately within minutes of the failure. The only thing they missed was the gusset plate that later investigations found too thin.

The third great thing is the spinoff link feature: in it you will find categorized breaking news, analysis, opinion, trends, and stories from all over the net and the world with many contrasting views. Since the links are also monitored, you will not find conspiracy sites, or agit-propaganda except the occasional filings under the moonbat and humor categories. The links are multiply categorized because the lizards have many different interests, from netfads, to multimedia, to news, to music, from art to culture to politics – you will find it all there. The best new articles of the net and the newsworld also float to the top from Lizards plussing news items up or down -these appear under the “Top Links” drop down. Many bloggers, left and right follow this feature religiously every morning to prep for their own blogging.

The fourth great thing are the music posts – Charles Johnson is a highly accomplished Jazz guitarist with superb music taste, and he posts some really good music. In the comments for the music threads you will also find other lizard musicians posting their favorites as well.

So whether you are a newshound, a blogger, a political junkie, a musician, or just interested in a great online community with it’s eye on the future, Little Green Footballs is the best site for you.

Yeah, Charles is terribly self UN-aware but it doesn’t take a Ludwig to know that LGF and a liberal welfare policy are the only things standing between Charles and a greeter’s job at Wal-mart.

There were some other things that lead me to believe jammyjams is Charles in sock drag.

      A “contraceptive”
      Is what prevents conception.
      IUD doesn’t.

      IUD and Pill
      Allow fertilization,
      Stop implantation.

      The sperm meets the egg
      Unique DNA created
      And then discarded.

      Not contraception.
      Whether you’re for or against
      Use the correct words.

    • trebob says:

This is where Charles totally shows his complete lack of awareness. Hobby Lobby’s insurance pays for most birth control methods and they are only fussing about the morning after stuff and IUDs. If Charles actually understood how things work, he would know that the IUD prevents implantation of a fertilized egg onto the uterine wall (correct me if I’m wrong ladies). If you believe that life begins at conception (i.e. when the egg is fertilized) then an IUD is an abortion inducing device by design. My wife and I struggled with this concept many moons ago so we’ve read all the books, unlike Charles who reads comic books.

97% of the birth control used in America is covered by the insurance Hobby Lobby carries for it’s employees and only these 4-5 types are being argued over because they are basically little early abortions. The other portions of their insurance are fine under Obamacare and only this little tiny portion is a problem. They also pay well too. For the Feds minimum wage is what, $7.75 and Obama wants it to be $10.10? Hobby Lobby’s starting pay is $12 and let me tell you in Oklahoma City, that’s not terrible pay for no-skilled entry level workers. I don’t pay much more than that for medical assistants and they have to be certified.

Why every one doesn’t see this as an immense intrusion by government and how dangerous the one-size-fits-all can be is beyond me. This company does everything right, no one complained and the employees, if asked, would want the status quo but because this one little portion of Obamacare isn’t being followed, this one little provision, it goes all the way to the Supreme Court with the likely outcome that the employees are tossed out of their insurance and into the Obamacare exchange. The whole episode is disgusting and is not how citizens of the united States should be treated.

How about we have a little of this justice department zeal when it comes to enforcement of the immigration laws or investigations of ‘fast and furious’ things?

      • Arachne says:

You’re absolutely correct. It prevents an egg that has been fertilized from implanting.

      • Arachne says:

BTW, is there any evidence that someone who actually WORKS for Hobby Lobby has complained about their coverage? At ALL?

I remember when I was in my younger days, my health insurance did not cover birth control pills, because such medication was deemed non-therapeutic. In other words, it was something that I did NOT need as medical treatment. Oddly, I had no trouble or financial hardship taking the prescription and walking to my local pharmacy and buying the pills myself, and these were the days when it was $30 a pop per month and no $9 Target or WalMart pharmacy. More importantly, this was true of just about every woman I knew. No one complained. If you couldn’t afford them, Planned Parenthood would give them to you for five bucks.

    • Arachne says:

Do you know how an IUD works, you perambulating piece of shit? It keeps a FERTILIZED egg from implanting in the uterus – got it? So life has begun at the time.

    • Tiller is in Hell says:

      let’s see,
these people believe that life begins at ….wait for it Charles…….CONCEPTION

      AND…………

the way an IUD works Charles is………..wait for it……….Prevents implantation of a FERTILIZED egg…….Charles, that’s also called an…..EMBRYO

so applying their logic, this device is stopping a VIABLE human being from life. I realize this means nothing to you since the idea of delivering a full term living baby, extracting it’s head then shoving scissors into its brain gives you an erection, I suppose just preventing implantation of an embryo is sort of boring

but to these people it’s sort of a big deal.

I could afford the Pill too, when I was young. But..when I was in my early twenties & living in the US, I went to see my Doc because I was having all kinds of physical problems – migraines, spastic colon & then blood clots in my legs. My doc told me that the culprit was my birth-control pills. What was I supposed to do then, I asked. I was using the lowest dosage possible. Abstain, use condoms, get married or risk having a serious stroke or worse, he answered. I quit using them & the problems I had went away.
