Doug Ross has announced his 50 Fabulous 50 Blog Award Winners for 2013. Little Green Footballs, won an award and Diary of Daedalus is being requested to accept the award on behalf Charles Johnson!

Broken Lizard

Diary of Daedalus humbly accepts the award for LGF on behalf of Charles Johnson. He can’t appear in public due to death threats by Ron Paul and Glenn Greenwald’s deadly Flemish Nazi snipers! Once again, congrats to Charles for his well deserved award!

Happy New Years Charles!

A Very Gus-y Christmas at LGF

As ChenZhen recently pointed out, just three short years ago Gus got out the step ladder, mounted his high horse and passed judgement on us “pathetic sadsacks”:

e

while simultaneously posting 30 comments and 1 link/page/thread thing over at LGF.

So what did Mr. 802 do to honor/respect/keep the holidays this year?  Why he had not one but two posts promoted to the front page!    The first concerned an innocuous Donald Trump tweet about Pope Francis.  Not sure what moral lesson was to be had with that one.

But for the second, he worked himself up into a fine lather of righteous indignation because someone officially connected to the GOP and NRC [sic] had dared send out a tweet implying…  wait for it…  that Sandra Fluke has flabby arms.  ZOMG!1!!eleventy  This, he stated, constituted another “Great moment in Republican rebranding”, echoing one of his master’s lamer memes.

So who is this official spokesperson for the GOP and NRC? It’s someone using the Twitter handle @GOPFashionista.   And Gus’ proof of “official connection”?  This screenshot:

gopfashion
But it’s always wise to read the fine print. And it’s right there, on the very page he cited, in the lower left corner:

disclaim
But at the Swamp, they don’t let facts get in the way of a good pile-on.

ChenZhen: As pathetic as that was, it just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.  Now there wasn’t much guessing going on in that previous thread, unfortunately, but I don’t think anyone could have called this. In addition to the aforementioned threads, here’s the final tally for Gus’s Christmas as prepared by Apollo:

Dec 24:  100 tweets    65 LGF comments
Dec 25:   93 tweets     33 LGF comments

You’re reading that right; that’s almost 200 tweets and almost 100 LGF comments. On Christmas.

And it’s not like he banged it all out in the morning before heading out to be with the family or something (not sure that’s possible given the sheer volume, but…). If you want to work in some time of day info, he puts in pretty full days on Twitter:

last tweet on the 23rd was at   10:23 PM
his tweets on the 24th cover     8:45 AM – 7:33 PM
his tweets on the 25th cover     8:01 AM – 9:21 PM
started tweeting on the 26th at  8:30 AM

And on Christmas Eve, his LGF comments were spread between 10:10 AM to 7:30 PM

Here’s one of the tweets, and this probably sums it up the best:

Indeed.

Should we feel bad for this guy? I mean, this is kinda sad, actually.

Charles Johnson’s lame attempt to paint Phil Robertson as a Pedophile

The LGF smear machine thought it had a gotcha moment against Phil Robertson. Here is Charles Johnson’s misleading headline.

Phil Robertson

Reading the headline, one would think that Phil Robertson was advocating for Old men to marry 15 or 16 year olds. But Killgore Trout actually watched the video Charles linked to and it is totally different than what Charles is claiming.

Phil Robertson2 Phil Robertson3

Here is the video and clearly Phil Roberston is giving advise to young men in their late teens, not older men as Charles is implying.

This has to be one of the most despicable smears Charles has done. To imply that Phil Roberston is a pedophile is one of the lowest acts the Corpulent Blogger has done.

Glenn Greenwald rips MSNBC for Pro-Obama bias!

This is a Glenn Greenwald story Charles Johnson has not posted. Glenn Greenwald went on MSNBC and when questioned about his support of Snowden, he points out that MSNBC defends Obama’s agenda 24/7. That observation by Greenwald fits LGF perfectly as well!

GREENWALD: I think that’s ludicrous, is what I say to that. Every journalist has an agenda. We’re on MSNBC now, where close to 24 hours a day the agenda of President Obama and the Democratic Party are promoted, defended, glorified. The agenda of the Republican Party is undermined. That doesn’t mean the people on MSNBC aren’t journalists, they are. I think every journalist has a viewpoint.

[….]

A clearly flustered Welker tried to backtrack, declaring “”the point is not so much about MSNBC,” but that Greenwald’s defense of Snowden’s actions may “cross a line.”

“Sure, I do defend him,” Greenwald snarked back, “just like people on MSNBC defend President Obama and his officials and Democratic Party leaders 24 hours a day.”
I am not a huge Greenwald fan, but I respect him for being an honest Leftist. Charles Johnson is a hack that views Obama as a some divine entity who is beyond criticism.
Update: Here is the video clip of Greenwald’s smackdown of MSNBC.

Charles Johnson’s Christmas Day

Merry Christmas Charles JohnsonOh wait. That’s from 2008. Here’s something more recent and we honestly don’t know what to make of it.

Once a powerful voice against Islamo-fascism, then a squeaky voice against Christianity and religion in general, Charles Johnson astounded us by posting two words that he’s never posted on his blog before: “Merry Christmas.”

Charles Johnson Christmas 1Something is a bit swampy in the fish when Our Boy suddenly tosses out religious greetings shared by Catholics, Baptists, Episcopalians, Methodists, Mormons and even hell-bound heathens like Presbyterians. Rummaging through the BRC Archives presents very little in terms of Holiday Cheer, let alone mentions of Christmas, merry or otherwise.

So, if you were Charles Johnson, what’s the first thing you would do on a Christmas morning?

Charles Johnson Christmas

Yeah. Terry Gilliam’s “Brazil” (1985) is high in my top ten must-watch list, but Charles doesn’t realize that its theme is pure Libertarian, anti-fascist, anti-bureaucracy. If you’ve never seen it, you’re missing out on a bizarre yet prescient movie. Here’s the trailer.

Then, Charles posts this image, on the Day of Birth of The Christ Child.

Charles Christmas MonkeyCharles, Charles, Charles. You’re a pathetic mess.
