The Pulsating Photographic Genius of Charles Johnson – September Edition

Remember when The Greatest Mind of the Blogosphere bought a camera, took pictures, and presented them as magnificent works of Prescient Art?  The LGF 2010 Calendar is still for sale, and it ships in 2 to 5 business days.

It amazes me how Charles Johnson could sketch out a photo on a PostIt Note, and then find an exact matching scenario to photograph and post on LGF as “Overnight #Rumpswab.” Pure brilliance.

    Warhammer badassery….

  2. ISTE says:

Yep, and I remember when “The Greatest Minds of the Blogosphere” could smell bullshit from several thousand miles away and worked hard to document it, chart it, discuss it, fact check it and only then about 10% of the findings were actually published because the team could not be 100% of 100% certain they had all the facts.

Those were the days my friend…

  3. Bunk X says:

Heh. There were giants in those days.

Recently I traded emails with another blogger about unrelated stuff, and he brought up Diary of Daedalus. For some reason he though I ran this place, so I had to set him straight, and in doing so told him an abbreviated story of the BRC. Too many stories to tell (and too many not to tell also).

I hope that the twitterbutting is over and done with, even though I deserved my share. I don’t hold grudges.

      It is just starting “buddy”

Nice exit the day after the Breitbart team SWATted someone live and watched by thousands.

The reaction today from all our Breitbart “friends” ?

        *crickets*

Even Aaron Worthington has shut the fuck up and sat the fuck down about it.

      • Bunk X says:

ISTE– I haven’t been around in over a week due to a family emergency that hasn’t been resolved yet. Your news is news to me. Gimme a link.

      • ISTE says:

No I will not give you a link.

The story cannot be told in one link.

Ask Calo to give you a “link” she seems to know what the fuck is happening.

However, in one short sentence, Lee Stranahan, a Breaitbart.com hero called 911 because someone tweeted something he didn’t like and the result was a team of police knocked on a door 1300 miles away and scared the shit out of an old disabled guy with a big mouth and his wife.

      • Bunk X says:

I’m asking you, not Calo. You said Stranahan SWATted someone. Calling 911 for a perceived threat is different. Again, who is making the claim? Brooks? He makes up shit all the time.

      • Bunk X says:

        Post the tweets.

  4. mrpaulrevere says:

Reposted from downstairs: Point of order my friend, he ‘swatted’ no one. Bill Schmalfeldt apparently made a verifiable threat against Stranahan and posted his address and pictures of his house. Not cool, not cool at all. To compare what he did to what happened to Patterico is way, way off base. I suspect that you know this. I find your post puzzling.

    • Bunk X says:

ISTE by his own admission was late to the stories of Patterico, Aaron Worthing, and others. Not his fault, but there are some who have intentionally jumped into the mix in order to confuse pending court proceedings, and That’s A Fact, Jack.

  5. el doppel says:

    the crayon version is better

  6. mrpaulrevere says:

Lee Stranahan did not ‘swat’ anyone. Anyone insinuiating otherwise is full of shit.

    • ISTE says:

    • Bunk X says:

That is exactly my suspicion. Some folks think they got chumped by Stranahan, and I don’t blame them for being pissed.

These same folks decided to attack everyone associated with Breitbart in retribution, and they’ve joined forces with some very nasty people who believe Anthony Weiner was framed, that GWB stole the 2008 election with electronic voter fraud, and other bizarre conspiracies.

I don’t think ISTE and a couple of others have figured that out yet.

      • ISTE says:

        No you dupe.

The issue is why the fuck don’t the Breitbart brand name dump Stranahan?

I figured it out, they CANNOT dump Stranahan because he has his name on several of their key projects.

        They are stuck with him.

        I see it, do you?

      • Walter White says:

Who can keep up with the soap opera on twitter. These people have too much idle time to gin up this unnecessary drama.

    • Emperor says:

I don’t really care if he “swatted” anyone or not. He’s still a scumbag. Anyone who associates themselves willingly with him are discredited for it.

Though it looks like the – shall we say, disreputable, crowd around @OccupyRebellion and @breitbartunmask (who appears to have acquired over 20,000 fake followers for itself since I last saw its profile) have latched onto this dispute, (correctly) identifying Stranahan as the weak link in the Breitbart crew.

It’s that crowd that seems to be the source of this “swatting” story, so I take it with a grain of salt.

Whether it’s accurate or not, I don’t think it matters – it doesn’t change the underlying facts. Breitbart.com must cut ties with Lee Stranahan who has a reputation for fraud that goes back years.

    • Bunk X says:

Liberal Grouch is a known liar, and he didn’t get SWATted. There’s the proof.

  7. ISTE says:

    mrpaulrevere :
Well I would not have called the cops based on LiberalGrouch’s post. But thats just me. Just because Stranahan did does not make him evil. Being proactive about internet threats is a choice, and one I won’t criticize.

And with that we get back to being not friends but not adversaries.

Lee Stranahan has become emboldened because he has done borderline shit and his backers have let it go.

This time he crossed the line and there has been silence from them.

He was not proactive about an Internet threat, he called 911 rape in progress.

    • Bunk X says:

      “Rape in progress.” Show it.

      • ISTE says:

Bunk, why the fuck would police knock on the door of someone in Maryland because someone that is still in Tampa, Florida reported that the said person in Maryland was saying things about his wife in Dallas, Texas?

I watched it happen “live” I am now waiting to view the police reports to see if the reality matched the online fiction.

Your mind, and Mr Revere’s mind is already made up.

        Guilty as Stranahan charged.

  8. mrpaulrevere says:

I find the hostility toward Stranahan mystifying, to put it mildly.

    • garycooper says:

mrpaulrevere :I find the hostility toward Stranahan mystifying, to put it mildly.

Did he not take a bunch of money in payment for a documentary movie that he never made? That’s the story I heard, but I wasn’t involved in any way. His explanations have sounded weak, too, like the dissembling of a practiced con-artist. Just a casual bystander’s opinion, don’t put me on any shit-lists. 😉

    • Bunk X says:

He’s been labeled a witch in a perceived coven run by the Breitbarts. The people attacking him are Federalist Paulians who are lashing out at everyone with the smear tactics of leftist organizations.

      • garycooper says:

Well, they should catch him and see if he floats. Only way to tell, if someone’s a witch. Some of them are mermaids, you know, and they can hold their breath forever. Saw it on Animal Planet just now, 😯

    They are stuck with him.
    I see it, do you?

Yes. I see it, and I see it as a personal attack unrelated to Breitbart that Stranahan needs to address and resolve it on his own.

  11. ISTE says:

    Bunk X :
If Stranahan called the police on false pretenses, then he’s guilty of a false report. What you’ve shown is that Stranahan perceived a threat and called the police.

Yep! Stranahan was the good guy! I fully support him. He did what anyone should have done.

  12. mrpaulrevere says:

Bunk X :If Stranahan called the police on false pretenses, then he’s guilty of a false report. What you’ve shown is that Stranahan perceived a threat and called the police.

That sums it up nicely. Stranahan made a judgement call.

    • Bunk X says:

Knowing the tactics of the people involved, I would have done the same thing.

    • ISTE says:

Yep, Stranahan made a really great judgement call. He was still in Florida, his wife is in Dallas, and someone in Maryland posted pictures of Stranahan’s house that were on Zillow, a real estate company, and made fun of him.

I fully support Lee Stranahan, he is the best person I know, he has morals, integrity and I trust him with my life.

    • Bunk X says:

ISTE, the folks you’re hanging out with are allied with criminals. They are not run-of-the-mill heckling trolls. These people are out to destroy the lives of honest folks who dare to expose them for what they are.

I’m not your enemy, and neither is anyone here.

His explanations have sounded weak, too, like the dissembling of a practiced con-artist. Just a casual bystander’s opinion, don’t put me on any shit-lists.

    Yep.

14 months ago he raised $559 (mainly from readers of this blog) to create a film on the saga of Charles Johnson and Little Green Footballs.

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/968679247/the-decline-and-fall-of-little-green-footballs/posts

He ran off with this money, not mentioning it again (nor the other Kickstarter film project which is several additional years old which he raised ~$2000 for), until about 1 or 2 months ago.

Now this film, should it ever be completed, will not focus on Charles Johnson at all, but Brooks Bayne a blogger at the centre of this current ridiculous web-fight. This was not what was advertised.

That Lee Stranahan is a fraudster can be confirmed if not definitively proved by the fact that there are online complaints of people being ripped off by him (buying services that were never provided) going back nearly a decade.

This shouldn’t be a political issue. Lee Stranahan is just as much of a scammer now as he was when he was a far-left activist, after all. But it looks like some people have latched onto this and tried to make it one.

    • Bunk X says:

Stranahan hasn’t run away, and he’s explained the delay several times.

“The film has expanded to include a recent Twitter Meltdown involving a political blogger going nuts and attacking conservatives. Except to be finished after the election.”

That political blogger is Brooks Bayne, another ego-filled guitar player, similar in many ways to Chuck.

      • Bunk X says:

I’m not defending Stranahan, but there are others who, instead of asking for their donations back, are making up shit about him, claiming he’s a pornographer for some artsy photos he took, claiming that he’s ripping off Breitbart’s family by selling t-shirts, and by extension, attacking every one affiliated with Breitbart. This isn’t about donations.

      • ISTE says:

Get real Bunk! The delay is over a year.

Stranahan said the film would be released August 2011.

You know for a fact we were working behind the scenes to get the text and stuff ready for that deadline.

You know for a fact that you are sitting on a document that is so late being published it was a waste of all our time compiling.

You want me to release the doc?

      • jd says:

$2000 for a documentary? What does that buy an investor? I think one hand held camera. Don’t give money out to internet put you don’t know. If you do and lose the money, just consider it a lesson learned that you can pass on to your kids. What stranahan is guilty of here I think is having a big idea and good intentions but unable to follow through because some experience is lacking. It’s like loaning $2000 to your brother to help him build a deck, but only to find out he spent $500 at the casino and $1500 on the deck. Put it in writing next time.

    • ISTE says:

      That is my point.

I have lost friends because of this. They are defending Lee Stranahan blindly because he is associated with the Breitbart group.

If Lee Stranahan is a cross they wand to die on, and I am looking at you Calo and Bunk especially, then so be it.

You all should know that I am one of the very few here who is not driven or influenced by American politics.

Politically I don’t give a fuck. I can’t, I won’t and to be honest I am glad I have no say in what has become the American political system.

Some people here are supporting the acts of Lee Stranahan because he is working for the Breitbart legacy.

Shame on you. Shame on Breitbart.com

      • Bunk X says:

Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is not the same as defending him. Why hasn’t anyone taken him to small claims court? Because it’s not about the donations, nor is it about Stranahan. It’s about bringing down Breitbart.

      • df's puddy tat says:

ISTE, you have never lost me as a friend. I agree with you on Stranahan being a ruthless scumbag. I just disagreed about how you attacked him. I always held you to a higher standard than most. Nothing more, you were always my hero.

      • jd says:

Lee Stranahan is not that important. The money lost is not that much. It’s more an effect on pride and dreams. But consider all ourselves disillusioned about Lee. Giving him money was a bad idea. Giving him pixels just as bad then. It’s a beer hall story.

  15. mrpaulrevere says:

Bunk X :Knowing the tactics of the people involved, I would have done the same thing.

Indeed. Bill Schmalfeldt is deeply tied to the Kimberlin/Rauhauser crew, who are extremely ruthless about destroying enemies by any means neccesary.

  16. Emperor says:

    Bunk X :
Stranahan hasn’t run away, and he’s explained the delay several times.
“The film has expanded to include a recent Twitter Meltdown involving a political blogger going nuts and attacking conservatives. Except to be finished after the election.”
That political blogger is Brooks Bayne, another ego-filled guitar player, similar in many ways to Chuck.

Firstly, this only recently became the reason. Up until a couple months ago it was just “I’ve been busy”. Then suddenly it became about expanding the horizons of the movie.

Secondly… This wasn’t the advertised product. If people wanted to pay cash money to fund Stranahan in creating a film attacking one of his enemies, they could do so. They didn’t, in this case. Brooks Bayne may be little better than Lee, but that doesn’t mean people who paid money for a history of LGF should get a history of Lee Stranahan’s stupid and meaningless spat with Brooks Bayne.

    • Bunk X says:

I agree. Keep in mind what was happening when Stranahan proposed the project in the first place. Twitterwars were going on between Chuck and everyone connected with Breitbart. We were part of it, too. Stranahan had some time and decided to propose a project.
Shortly after, the Occupy stuff became more important than Charles Johnson. Then in March Andrew Breitbart died. The timing of the LGF vid was gone, and Lee decided to expand the project to include a segment on Brooks Bayne.

In my opinion, Stranahan should drop the project and refund the donations, and I told him so via email. Apparently he’s not shelved it and he’s updating and adding to it. I can’t speak for him, but that’s what I get. Brooks had a meltdown just like Chuck, and it seems to me that there are some valid comparisons to be made.

If you or anyone is pissed that a year has passed before a film about Charles Johnson has been completed, I don’t think that viciously attacking Joel Pollack, Dana Loesch, or Mandy Nagy is going to change it. Same for attacking Stacy McCain, Patterico, Aaron Worthing and others who had nothing to do with Stranahan’s proposed video.

It’s pretty clear to me what’s going on, and it’s not about donations.

  17. mrpaulrevere says:

“Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is not the same as defending him.” 100% correct.

  18. ISTE says:

    Bunk X :

I’m not your enemy, and neither is anyone here.

    Define “Hanging out with”

I follow them, I retweet them when they say something I agree with.

Following is not endorsing everything they stand for. This is something you really need to get your shit together about Bunk.

I follow so I can read, for good or bad. Blocking someone you don’t agree with is like a 3 year old sticking its fingers in its ears and yelling “Neer neer neer neer I can’t heeer you!”

The “enemy” in your eyes is right about some things. Stranahan is one of those things. The rest of their actions, ideology and beliefs I totally reject.

You know something strange? I think they accept my opinion.

    Do you?

    • Bunk X says:

Oh man, we’ve had so much fun over the years. I have a lot of respect for you, and I’ve always accepted your opinions. You know that.

On the other hand, there’s a bigass Occam’s Razor that you’re not recognizing for some reason, and that bothers me. A lot.

      • ISTE says:

        Occam’s razor?

When did they buy you Bunk?

I am almost at the stage where I bid you guys adieu. I liked watching the LGF train wreck but this one is not as funny.

Indeed. Bill Schmalfeldt is deeply tied to the Kimberlin/Rauhauser crew, who are extremely ruthless about destroying enemies by any means neccesary.

You’re right there. It looks like they’ve latched onto Lee Stranahan as the weakest target in their online wars.

In this case perhaps it is wise to remember the saying “even a broken clock is right twice a day”.

Lee Stranahan is a fraudster – not to mention a political opportunist who was a liberal Democrat activist, who implied connection to the Obama campaign in ’08 (going as far to make a series of online videos promoting his candicacy), who – like Charles Johnson – switched sides when he decided that there was more to be made by reversing all of his previous positions.

  20. mrpaulrevere says:

    ISTE :

    I
Now it is my turn to ask you to do what you all seem to like doing.
    Prove it…..

There you go friend. Take a few minutes to poke around his site and twitter feed. He’s deeply tied to Kimberlin and Rauhauser: http://www.theliberalgrouch.com/

    • ISTE says:

And what will be my final answer?

Because Liberal Grouch is deeply tied to Kimberlin and Rauhauser: DOES NOT MEAN HE IS WRONG ABOUT STRANAHAN!

What part of this are you intelligent people failing to grasp?

“Even a blind squirrel sometimes finds an acorn” springs to mind.

      • Bunk X says:

Yes it does. This is not about a couple of hundred dollars worth of donations they never made. It’s all about taking down Breitbart, and they’re using you.

  21. ISTE says:

      • ISTE says:

I DO know the entire story. I do not have a life so all I do is read this shit.

What I am trying to tell you and others who are blindly picking a side and sticking to it is that you and others are defending a real lowlife scumbag just because other really low life scumbags on the other side are attacking him.

That is all I need to know.

      • Bunk X says:

And Occam is getting ready for another shave.

      • Bunk X says:

Anyone who claims to know the entire story doesn’t, unless he’s one of the lawyers or plaintiffs preparing the case that’s pending, and those folks aren’t talking.

  22. ISTE says:

This is the BULLSHIT I am objecting to..

Shortly after, the Occupy stuff became more important than Charles Johnson. Then in March Andrew Breitbart died.

Funding for the Stranahan/LGF project was completed in June 2011. The project release date was supposed to be August 2011.

Occupy shit died down in the winter of 2011/12 because of the weather. Plenty of time for Stranahan to do the film.

March 2012 Breitbart croaked. September 2012 still no product.

Bunk, do you really believe what you post?

    • ISTE says:

Occam says that if you send money to someone in June 2011 for something to be delivered in August 2011 and then by August 2012 you find out that it is still not going to be delivered and when it is it is not what you ordered then Occam says “You were fucked”

Yep.. That Occam guy got it right.

      • Bunk X says:

Why, if you donated some amount to Stranahan, weren’t you jumping up and down screaming for recompense for all the hours you spent downloading LGF archives when I was trying to get you and others in the BRC paid by trying to sell them to Breitbart and others?

And you’re still trying to convince me that this is about small monetary donations to Stranahan?

    • Bunk X says:

Why is an obsolete video about Charles Johnson so important to you?

      • ISTE says:

        Bunk X :
Why is an obsolete video about Charles Johnson so important to you?

It was paid for and never delivered.

Do you care that we got scammed?

      • Bunk X says:

If you think you got scammed, demand a refund or take him to small claims court.

      • jd says:

ISTE it hurts when people get scammed. Especially when it is ones own self. But the most that can be done here is to give Stranahan a little bit of an internet black eye. the money will never come back. He has spent it at Starbucks probably. He might have wanted to pay it back but might be such a crappy money manager that he has characterless priorities. A good job will fix that. I’d be interested to learn if Stranahan has ever actually gotten a steady paycheck over a few years. The world is full of big dreamers trying to use other peoples money. You will continue to get screwed by them until you learn to say no and put it in writing.

  23. ISTE says:

    Bunk X :
Yes it does. This is not about a couple of hundred dollars worth of donations they never made. It’s all about taking down Breitbart, and they’re using you.

Nobody is “using” me. I would have thought that from our previous exchanges you had got a fucking clue about who I am and what I do.

    BREITBART are taking down Breitbart.

    Pissing on corpses.

    Something about the Queens asshole.

There is a really long and growing list of things that the Breitbart brand people should never have said if they were to remain credible.

Bunk, you picked the wrong side.

Me? I never chose a side, I go with whoever tells the truth.

  24. ISTE says:

    Bunk X :
Why, if you donated some amount to Stranahan, weren’t you jumping up and down screaming for recompense for all the hours you spent downloading LGF archives when I was trying to get you and others in the BRC paid by trying to sell them to Breitbart and others?
And you’re still trying to convince me that this is about small monetary donations to Stranahan?

    There you have it everybody…

All the work I did archiving LGF I did for free.

I never asked for a single cent.

Bunk tried to sell my work and I said “no”

I asked for nothing and I gave all I had.

Stranahan asked for money and gave nothing.

  25. ISTE says:

A week or so ago I got an email that was a reply to someone I have blocked.

It was something about releasing a document that many people had collectively worked on and was now obsolete.

The document was obsolete for a number of reasons.

Just post it verbatim Bunk, nobody gives a shit any more.

    • Bunk X says:

That would be “The Breitbart Project.” It was forwarded to Joel Pollack, 90% complete. By then the interest in Charles Johnson’s Little Green Footballs had waned. If I get time I’ll try to format it for posting. I’ve got to figure out how to do the large quantity of footnotes.

      • ISTE says:

LMAO “By then the interest in Charles Johnson’s Little Green Footballs had waned.”

Yep that is why the fact that Stranahan never produced the goods when he said he would is important.

It is too late. Nobody gives a shit.

      • Bunk X says:

LMAO and that’s why I’ve said repeatedly that Stranahan should refund the money. But it’s not about the money.

  26. ISTE says:

    Bunk X :
The Breitbarts didn’t ask you to donate money for a film about a failed blogger.

No, but the Breitbarts are defending and protecting and paying him.

Remember the Chick fil A guy? What happened?

Stranahan is Breitbart’s Chick Fil A asshole.

    What is happening to Stranahan?

    *crickets*

    • Bunk X says:

No idea what you’re talking about.

    • df's puddy tat says:

This whole affair is just sad. Sad that it has to be displayed on DoD because some nic was blocked from emailing someone else who refuses to entertain another person’s thoughts. Rather Johnsonish.

      • ISTE says:

You really believed that shit didn’t you!

I have not blocked anyone, I just read it and delete it.

        Just trash it without replying.

Sometimes I don’t even read all of it before deleting it.

        My bad…

      • Pig says:

I, on the other hand, have blocked the whole damn lot of you. And now I’m blocking DoD.

It’s one thing to mock Charlie, but this whole BB thing has gotten vile and childish beyond anything I wanna be associated with.

  27. ISTE says:

You want to know my thoughts?

I really hope Obama wins in November because the more I am exposed to the inner workings of the Breitbart organisation the more I detest what they stand for.

    • df's puddy tat says:

I love you friend. And, whoever wins in November, so be it. I will adapt. I just hope you will be as fortunate and continue to prosper as you have done soon over the last year. Namaste.

    • Bunk X says:

LOL.Now you’re playing the Guggi game again. 😉

      • ISTE says:

Yep.. and this time I will play it my way.

        It is all yours Bunk…

I already departed to greener pastures, not like last time when I was suddenly cut off and cast adrift.

As Calo keeps telling me for weeks now.

        Namaste.

(gone to play in a place where I feel at home)

      • Bunk X says:

I defended you then, but I can’t defend you now, and that’s not animosity from me.

      • Bunk X says:

        Adios amoeba.

    • jd says:

Breitbart was pretty cool. When you listen to him talk about people, he was one to something. now whether all the people attracted to him are cool.. Human nature serves up a variety. There are kooks in every organization trying to gain power and fame. A good organization vets them out. It’s like Libertarians with a Big L always seem to be bat shit crazy compared to a regular small L

I think cats are cute and fascinating animals. I’m extremely allergic, so I have to avoid them, but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate their diabolical cunning, ruthless murderous streak, and endearing playfulness.

    Cats.

    • snowcrash says:

      Is that a Chessie?

      • garycooper says:

Yes, he’s a Chessie. Going on 10 years old, running about 135 lbs. I consider him my best friend, and not just because of the cliche about dogs. I just like him better than other people, and I know he likes me. 🙂

  30. garycooper says:

Did you ever think pigs would become a real problem in this country, as they have in some states? Multiplying out of control in the wild, and becoming dangerous, destructive threats? I have to admit, I never saw that coming.

At the same time, I feel it is an example of hate speech, calling them “feral swine.”

    • rightymouse says:

The WaPo is still around? Hubby commented recently that our Cleveland Plain Dealer is dying a slow, gagging death. Sunday’s edition was notable for the obits.

  31. rightymouse says:

Looks like some ugly infighting was going on late last night into the wee hours of this morning. Blech.

  32. rightymouse says:

    Here’s some humor instead:

A woman asks her husband at breakfast time, “Would you like some bacon and eggs, a slice of toast, and maybe some grapefruit juice and coffee?”

He declines. “Thanks for asking, but, I’m not hungry right now. “It’s this Viagra,” he says. “It’s really taken the edge off my appetite.”

At lunchtime, she asks him if he’d like something. “How about a bowl of soup, homemade muffins, or a cheese sandwich?”

He declines. “The Viagra,” he says, “really trashes my desire for food.”

Come dinner time, she asks if he wants anything to eat. “Would you like a juicy rib eye steak and some scrumptious apple pie? Or maybe a rotisserie chicken or tasty stir fry?”

He declines again. “No,” he says, “it’s got to be the Viagra. I’m still not hungry.”

“Well,” she says, “Would you mind letting me up? I’m starving.”

  33. rightymouse says:

Tough crowd. I think I’ll go shopping. 🙂

    • garycooper says:

Pick me up some of that Viagra stuff! 🙂

I haven’t had to resort to it yet, but it’s nice to know it’s there, for the future. Just when She thinks she’s all done with that wifely duty, ready to settle into the Golden Years with some gardening, knitting, QVC marathons…here comes Mr. Schlong, ready to GET IT ON, Mama! 😈

Poor Mama. Hasn’t she suffered enough? 😉

      • rightymouse says:

Whatever you do, don’t let your kids know that you’re still chasing mama. Hubby was wooing me recently with sweet nothings and our son overheard him & about had heart failure. YOU’RE TOO OLD FOR THAT!!! Heh. 🙂

      • Rufus T. Rumpswab says:

I keep getting these damn emails for “viagrow”. They make unspeakable promises. 😈

      • garycooper says:

Oh, I know. Our kids are horrified at the idea, so we keep it to ourselves. That’s the best way, anyhoo. Don’t want to give them any ideas. Stay virgins forever! 🙂 (j/k)

Before I head off to the Labor Day BBQ and sibling political brawl, I just want to say how proud I am of my fellow Detroiters. Way to go, men!

Oh, and “Go Tigers.” Kick some Indian butt today. “Chief Wahoo?” Really? Is that the most-racist thing you people could dream up? 😆

    • Abu bin Squid says:

Lol. I thought you were referring to the Tiggers sweep of the Chicago White Chokes. And stealing from Plugs Bite-me is racist, even if done by “locals”.

  35. Nazis Under The Bed says:

Looks like quite the battle here last night. Hope those involved can sleep it off and be friends.

  36. mrpaulrevere says:

Well I stand by everything I posted. These things happen from time to time. Que sera sera. And no, I did not violate the Iron Fist rule.

  37. babygiraffes says:

sorry to post on-topic, but is it true chuckie sketched a potential photo on a postit, then went out and found that exact photo and took it for the calendar? Where is the post for this on LGF?? where can the real posts be found with the sketches? Are the ones in the pulsing gif real? Where’d you get them?

  38. livefreeor die says:

On a lighter note, anyone else have their empty chair in front of their house today? We have the three year old’s chair out there with a Fisher Price golf club next to it. I noticed the other conservative family in the neighborhood also has their chair out.
I know, Charles. Somehow empty chairs are racist.

    • garycooper says:

I’m going to do that, tomorrow. Got just the ratty old club to match the chair. I hope it becomes “a thing.” 😆

  39. snowcrash says:

I am not a Stranahan fan. I do believe he has committed fraud by not delivering the goods he took money for. I also remember there was a problem with him at Patterico’s site during the time of the Anthony Weiner thing. I do not remember exactly what it was, maybe someone else can recall the circumstances. I think he lost posting privileges or something. Anyway, he is a magnet for problems. That is enough for me to label him a bad actor and stay away from him. All the behind the scenes stuff is of little interest to me.

    • Rufus T. Rumpswab says:

Agreed. However. The definition of “swatting” that was being thrown around upthread is just plain false. Let’s all agree that

      1. Stranahan is a greasy character.
      2. What he did wasn’t “swatting”.

      And that’s that.

  40. Rufus T. Rumpswab says:

OT, Buzzsaw’s on fire today over at the PJ Tattler. He’s got like four lyric posts.
