Charles Johnson’s kind words for Ben Shapiro and Joel Pollak

Charles Johnson condemns Conservatives for hateful comments. Again, he engages in the same activities he condemns. His latest target for his rants are Ben Shapiro and Joel Pollak of Breitbart.com.

Keep it classy Charles. Funny, I haven’t seen you on TV recently. Then again, you’re so nasty looking, I don’t think I would like to. As for Professor Derrick Bell, well check out this story he wrote.  Bell was a racist and Charles is OK with it.

Update: Charles launches a vicious attack on Breitbart.com. He attacks them over the redesign and gloats about broken links.

Charles had many flaws with LGF which the BRC pointed out and he corrected. For him to mock another website is the ultimate act of hypocrisy. His defense of Derrick Bell by calling those who point out his racism as White Nationalists shows his intellectual dishonesty. Some forms of racism are more equal to others in the world of Charles Johnson. When Chuck dies, no one will be mourning him. His jealousy of Andrew Breitbart having a legacy makes him more deranged by the day. The  Race Detective should be locked up in a mental institute.

Fighting racism means you don’t encourage racism of any kind. That seems to be a hard concept for Chuck to grasp.

What, Charles equates a paranoid radical with Dr. Martin Luther King? I suppose CJ agrees with generalizations like whites would never support black rights unless it furthered their interests? And that in 1992 that blacks were more subjagated than at any time since slavery? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised anymore.

This man Bell’s thinking is a complete insult to we liberal whites and the things he says cause blacks to hurt, steal and speak ill of whites with no remorse. Reverse racism is worse than ever in this country thanks to idiots like Bell who sees racists behind every tree and thinks hard-working white people are somehow “privileged”. I equate him to the crackpot Farrakhan.

    • Juan Epstein says:

Everything he knows about Bell he learned online in the last 36 hours.

      • PeteP says:

But didn’t we see in the previous thread CJ’s tweet saying he has two books authored by Bell downstairs in his “library”?

  12. Juan Epstein says:

And what is this obsession with Jews??

    • dwells38 says:

Evidently there are a lot of blacks who think the Jews have their money and stuff.

It’s pretty simple, really. Show me a conspiracy nut job, and I’ll show you an antisemite. Iron law.

      • garycooper says:

That’s very true. Somehow, they always find room for the Jews.

      • P. Ness Lowell says:

Any time you have a group of people with demonstrable superior abilities, they’re going to become visible in disproportionate numbers. Hitler went on about how they were pushing capitalism and communism (he hated both) at the same time. He was just too dim to see why. That’s what makes Jews in particular such obvious targets. It’s all statistics. Ludwig could explain it all with algebra and shit, but he’s gone missing.

You see the same thing in Singapore. The Chinese minority is suspected of all the evils of the world.

  13. iSpeakJive says:

Around the time Obama attended Harvard, black students average SAT scores were 100 points lower than typical, and some professors were asserting their performance at Harvard was also subpar. Bell, I guess, was a big proponent that the whole problem was that black students needed black faculty in order to do well. And also he was big on blacks who thought like white people not being authentic. They needed to think like black people, whatever that is. Bell took a leave from the University to protest the lack of black women faculty in the law school. He continued to teach in the meanwhile, his salary being paid by Bill Cosby, oddly enough. I don’t usually think “radical” when I hear Cosby’s name.

Obama obviously liked the guy. I wonder what he thought of Obama. Not black enough? What kind of pressure was Obama under to be authentic.

    What a minefield. There’s a racial shit-storm a coming’ as these arguments are re-fought.

      • dwells38 says:

But there’s no way he COULD do what Breitbart and Huffington did because that requires the ability to delegate and work well with others. And be at least a little tolerant of differing views.

      • rightymouse says:

There’s also the’not quite right in the head’ part of the equation that Charles has mastered.

I have to say that I’m impressed. It took them no time at all to muck everything up once Andrew was gone. I guess he really was that important. And I don’t care if logic suggests these things are unrelated, I like to think they’re tied directly together.

    • m says:

They’re both idiots. Breitbart was IN ON combining all the BIGs into one site. I’m sure they knew they would be starting over with the links but the payoff was worth it in the end.

I hope my comment makes that damn spam filter barf. Frakking comment glutton.

  18. dwells38 says:

The reason why no one noticed is because so many people have Breitbart bookmarked or just go the main site and then look through all of their sites, perusing through all the headlines.

And for such a tiny bug the format change was well worth it. Maybe CJ should think about that considering his site has looked exactly the same for 11 yrs or more despite a GIGANTIC change in content and pov.

    Well guess what Chuckie?

The thing you just trend trolled has a champion in Congress – a guy who has been on the issue for YEARS and, as it turns out, has been fighting subtle little funding fights in the Foreign Affairs committee to prevent Obama from granting waivers to states that employ/condone this form of slavery.

Foreign Policy Magazine even wrote about it in a piece titled “Congress strikes back against Obama’s child soldiers’ waivers” and wrote about that Congressman:

Congress has no intention of letting this scenario play out again next year. Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE), vice chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health and Human Rights, successfully added an amendment to the Trafficking Victims Protection Act reauthorization bill today that would force the administration to give Congress 15 days notice before issuing waivers for the child-soldier penalties.

That name sound familiar Chuckie? That is the same guy who wrote the “Respect for Rights of Conscience Act” that you and your MMFA masters say is a Contraception Ban (it isn’t – it really is a protection of religious conscience bill and the word “contraception” isn’t in it).

Chuck – you are such a friggun tool. An ass hat. here you are lecturing the world on how one said hates children being made into soldiers when it turns out that is the side that has been working the issue for many many years without publicity or recognition.

    terrorists under the bed
    Charles Johnson
    Sat Mar 9, 2002 at 1:06 pm PST • Views: 129
Reader David Rosen told us about this attack dog review of Steve Emerson’s book American Jihad, by Eric Boehlert: Terrorists under the bed. The subheading says Emerson “doesn’t know the difference between Osama bin Laden and Yasser Arafat,” and that’s one of the main premises of the review. Boehlert says there’s nothing to worry about from Middle East terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, and we should all just roll over and go back to sleep.

Of course, there have been, and may still be, terrorists among us. It’s no secret that some of the al-Qaida terrorists were “sleepers” who lived in America for a long time, and that the terrorists who carried out the 1993 World Trade Center bombing lived here and made converts and contacts through a Brooklyn mosque. That’s alarming, and worthy of serious investigation. And if there really are ties between anti-American groups like al-Qaida and, for example, mainstream Muslim organizations that support radical Palestinian groups, we need to know about them. Emerson claims there’s a connection — a murky, ominous one. But the ominousness is all in Emerson’s overheated rhetoric. When you clear away the posturing, no connection emerges beyond their shared Islamic fundamentalism and shared views on Israel and Palestine.

Really? Then what about this statement issued in February by the “spiritual leader” of Hamas:

The USA is furious about its calamity and is waging a barbaric onslaught on the Islamic nation in Afghanistan and against all Islamic movements everywhere. Our innocent people are being killed in every spot of the world. Who is rising in fury to avenge their blood? Where are the nation’s keepers? Where are its kings, its leaders, its commanders? …

We need to devote all our resources to confront the aggression against our nation for “God bought from the believers their lives and wealth in exchange for Paradise. They fight for the sake of God and kill or are killed.” [Koranic verse] Verily speaks the Great God.

O sons of Islam everywhere, jihad is the individual duty of every Muslim, so that God’s shari’ah may be established all over the earth, and so that you may liberate your homelands and yourselves from the hegemony of the USA and its Zionist allies. It is your battle and the outcome should be either victory or martyrdom.

Unlike Boehlert, the Islamic loons behind Hamas and Islamic Jihad take the long view; note the statement “so that God’s shari’ah may be established all over the earth.” They mean it.

With multiple reports that Al Qaeda fighters are finding homes in the West Bank and Lebanon, as well as this declaration of war by Hamas’ spiritual leader, it’s rather disingenuous of Boehlert to brush aside Emerson’s claims of connections—especially when the penalty for doing so may be more attacks like 9/11.

Boehlert goes on to defend USF professor Sami Al-Arian, who he calls a “fervent supporter of the Palestinian cause” (that loud beeping sound you hear is the LGF Agenda Meter signalling an overload), in spite of the fact that Al-Arian is the founder of the American wing of Islamic Jihad, and has been deeply involved in fund-raising activities for them. Al-Arian’s group, the ICP, even organized a conference which included Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, the spiritual leader of the militants who bombed the World Trade Center in 1993.

Even Boehlert has to admit that sometimes these Islamic nutjobs do sound a little, well, scary:

To be certain, some of the Islamic calls to battle Emerson cites are chilling, and Muslims in American need to seriously reconsider, for both moral and political reasons, whether they have pushed the boundaries of hateful rhetoric too far. (Judging by Emerson’s own reporting they are; most of the most inflammatory passages included in “American Jihad” are dated, stretching from the late ’80s to the mid ’90s.)

See? They’re reasonable people after all. Nothing to worry about.

…to suggest, as Emerson does in “American Jihad,” that militant Muslims groups around the world, including those battling Israel, are targeting Americans at home, simply creates confusion and anxiety, especially among casual readers and TV viewers who have only a passing knowledge of the topic.

Well, we wouldn’t want to disturb the sheep, would we? No; far better to let the real smart guys like Eric Boehlert worry about complicated issues like this.

I’m glad that’s settled. Pass me the Cheetos. Soledad O’Brien is on.

He really does eat Cheetos 😆

I wasn’t in that group of names (I am class of 2003 or so – haven’t scanned the dumps for the first comment) and I went around a few times with Iceweasel (and then started mocking her via socks) but I don’t recall you or WUB having much of an impact on me negatively. Sorry.

What “ran me off” was the sense of having to walk on eggshells. There are plenty of cyber police states but Chuckie wanted to build the North Korea of them and I just got exasperated. Then the Gabby Giffords shooting happened and I was basically disgusted, having known her, her politics and how some Progressives in her district were dead set on getting her out of office. When that went down I realized that Chuck had the intellectual capacity of termite.

      • Bagua says:

There is really no need to be so insulting towards termites. Some are quite clever.

Iceweasel is manipulative but she’s no dumbass. I know from speaking with her once. Ludwig cannot boast the same.

Don’t you think that there is an effort to give the term symmetry with “racist?” It is an awkward term and I don’t use it, but one cannot accuse some people of racism in its broader, more apolitical sense because because they use the term as a cudgel.

As for the troll stuff, is there a “troll card” that can be played such that the term “trollist” might then be discussed?

I personally don’t think certain races are good at certain things or have certain traits and capacities. It’s bullshit.

From an early age I was told by my dad (who worked at the post office) that blacks are no different than whites. I even tried to argue that they look different, that their noses are flat and their lips are big. And he said, “no they aren’t, you’re prejudiced. All peoples possess all physical traits to some degree or other” which of course is true. There are pleny of whites with flat noses and big lips.

And I remember seeing a documentary about the first moon shot and one of the astrophysists was this black dude with a huge afro. Appropriately he represented the some 13% of the population that were black at that time in America and the tiny percentage of all that can do high math.

And I once saw at an Amway convention Ben Carson, the famous Neurosurgeon that helped solidify the belief I already had from my dad that blacks are no different from whites. And Ben himself testified that he was bullied and treated badly for being smart and valueing learning and intelligence in his community. Blacks are held down by blacks. And when they escape that the sky’s the limit as in all peoples.

Ice gets way too much credit for that type of thing.
She was actually pretty much useless and nonoffensive.
Maybe it’s not something to brag about, but just about all those guys (ludwig, MM, Cato, BR, arguably bagua but he’ll get mad at me for saying it) got out of there because of WUB or I.
Ice is like a blind bodybuilder trying to bat cleanup. There’s a ton of force and enthusiasm there, but she can’t actually hit anything.

Lol, such an inflated sense of self importance.

I always got along fine with WUB and we agreed on certain key subjects, like media manipulation.

You I generally enjoyed, but you were annoying when you trolled. Which wasn’t all the time. But you would play poodle to iceweasel and ludwig, and of course, seek to troll and distract from any pro-Israel position.

You and WUB came on board late in the game, and iceslut and Charles had already destroyed what was already a failing blog.

By the time I started posting, it was already a nuthouse and I just enjoyed the fray and many of the good posters, like Steve, Walter and several others. Also I enjoyed battling Ludwig who is really quite a personality.

We are all diminished by Ludwig’s falling on his own sword.

The poodles, such as yourself when you played that role, were just a minor irritation. More to be pitied than despised. I don’t think you were taken very seriously but any of the people you mentioned.

    🙂

before the fall, LGF was the most rauckus, noisy, fun place you could hang out….reg was restricted and the average poster so smart or funny it was really amazing…several debates at once, a brawl over there….posts so fast you could hardly keep up, and the celebrated FNDT…what a riot and it all went to hell….this is the time that the open registration newbs never could relate to because they were not there, like Woodstock…LGF went from the spectacular to the mundane so fast it blew alot of us away…it was less about ideology than style…we had a blast back then and it all had little to do with whatever CJ was thinking…he was the mechanic and we were the drivers….I support your above post

      • Bagua says:

        Cheers.

I never really noticed CJ, or even read his posts while I was there. I would occasionally slap him down when he attempted to debate me on Global Warming. Gently, as he was so thin skinned and shallow of thought.

LGF was always about the actually contributors. The community. Now that it is about CJ and a handful of cowered sycophants, LGF is like a tiny bit of egg shell of its former self.

CJ is more interesting to me now, as an archetypal example of self-sabotage, and the butt of many jokes.

But CJ was never a worthy opponent, not really smart enough. If he wasn’t the subject of the jokes and mockery here, I’d never think of him at all.

DoD has done CJ a great service in keeping him and his blog relevant, as a freak show of course, but with spectators. Without and audience LGF would be nothing.

From the description, it sounds like the feds are fishing for a lot more than they should be allowed to get. The subpoena requested: “full name, date of birth, physical address, gender, ZIP code, password prompts, security questions, telephone numbers and other identifiers … the IP address,” of everyone who commented Seem a bit excessive? It’s not entirely clear what the feds are fishing for, but one indicator? Some of the comments were quite critical of (you guessed it) a federal prosecutor. As Thomas Mitchell, the editor of the Review-Journal notes: These comment posters are not reporters; they have no shield law protection, especially since Congress has yet to pass the pending federal shield law. A grand jury can subpoena just about anyone for any reason.
