I always knew America had a lot of creationists, but I remember being pretty surprised to find out how widespread this anti-science attitude was. I had no idea that so many LGF readers were creationists, until I started criticizing creationism, and all heck broke loose.

And when challenged, almost all the creationists responded with anger and irrational arguments. I got dozens of emails saying I was doomed to burn in hell. Some of these people now stalk me on the Internet.

    • Bureaucat says:

Poor widdle me. I just started attacking others beliefs by mischaracterizing what they are, calling them irrational and brnading them anti-science. Now they persecute me with e-mail and postings on other blogs. Waaaaaaah!

The main difference between the Bible and the Koran is that the Bible is better organized.

But both books come from an era in which women were chattel, life was short, and people were often murdered on a whim. And both books reflect that reality.

The Koran is no more brutal than the Bible. Both books contain numerous stories of horrific abuse at the hand of God. And that’s because both books were written by people who were confused and awed by a world they didn’t understand, and invented supernatural reasons to explain the seemingly random brutality they had to endure.

  23. Whatever says:

I think Urban Infidel is right about Pam. I don’t think anything ever got to the point of sexual tension. I think Chuck simply like feminists who know their place. That’s why he likes Iceweasel and Madcow, and hates Geller, Palin, and Bachmann. The latter are too uppity for him.

    • OldLineTexan says:

Stalker Charles, like most immature males, fears confident women with strong identities. Some women label this “The Almighty Uterus”. I won’t argue with that. Women with children especially frighten him, judging from his irrational attacks on Sarah Palin. Freud would have a field day with this boy-man.

  24. Banshee's Banned Ghost says:

Equally absurd is the moonbat mantra that America will “fall behind” if too many kids fail to believe they’re related to trilobites or paramecia.

America will fall behind not because of what kids think about monkeys, but when they are encouraged to grow up and act like monkeys. We’re pretty much there already.

i did NOT oppose it with regard to my own child, i said i would encourage her to have the baby. but ultimately it would be her choice.

Why would you encourage your daughter to carry a rapist’s baby?

You do understand that this would mean your daughter would be compelled to have a relationship with her rapist, for the rest of her life, right?

Do you really think this is healthy?

How does not aborting COMPEL her to have a relationship with a rapist? Very big leap there.

    • Whatever says:

I actually know a woman who did exactly that. Oddly, she had to adopt the baby out of state, because the state she lived in required the father to be notified, and even in case of rape, he had veto power over the adoption. Screwy laws in some states.

    • livefreeor die says:

Who the hell is Charles to determine what is and is not healthy? It’s like letting Charles Manson write the legal definition of murder.

Someone who hides in his house all day in front of a computer is somehow qualified to dictate what is right and wrong to people on his blog when it comes to complicated ethical situations? -blank- that!

That’s right, Alaska Kim, Charles has decided that your daughter MUST have an abortion in that situation.
But, hey, if Anthony Weiner tweets a picture of his schlong we have to consider all the possibilities before we jump to any conclusions.

Because he’s the biological father, and has rights under the law because of that.

You can’t unilaterally give a child up for adoption without consent of the other parent.

    • Whatever says:

Not only that, but in some states, you can do that, and the mother can still have occasional visits with the kid. these days, they encourage the biological mother to have some contact with the kid, so that when it’s time to find out, there isn’t all the trouble.

Well, it bears mentioning that a father who might face criminal prosecution is unlikely to demand his parental rights.

      Or would even want to.

Uh, no, that’s not right at all.

Rape is about control. If a rapist knows that his victim was forced to bear his child, the chances are very good that he will take every opportunity to torment both of them, as long as he possibly can

      • Banshee's Banned Ghost says:

Odd how he seems to know so much about how rapists think…

Yeah, that must sound so sensible, inside Chunky’s empty echoing skull. Rapists always stay in touch with their victims, so they can continue tormenting them for the rest of their lives. It’s a control-issue, see.

Not everyone is a crazy, desperate, lonely stalker like you, Fatass. Even rapists usually move on to their next opportunity.

Because, and please take this as constructive criticism, you don’t know jack-diddly-squat about parenting or females otherwise. Your acid-flashback fantasies and abortion fanatic talking points do NOT count as parental experience or knowledge.

You want to lecture on parenting? Show me your successful, well-adjusted child, biological or adopted.

  42. poteen says:

I think Charles ought to carve a swastika into his forehead. It would complement his rather close set eyes nicely.

      • OldLineTexan says:

He’s already running the DKos version of Stormfront. He let Loodie rant about Republican subhumans; calls for AGW-denier tattoos have been made elsewhere, and Obdi wants in on the camp action, or maybe an oven concession.

      • poteen says:

I’ve been pointing that out since I got here. The similarity of devotion in Manson’s and Johnson’s followers is striking.
What was once a raucous montage of competing views and personalities has become a flop house of junkies waiting for the Swamp Swami to give them their fix.

  43. garycooper says:

He might be getting ready to shut it down for good.

    • Bunk X says:

      Regarding Breitbartt vs. CJ–

CJ gets a tip from “Buckhead” at Free Republic, promotes Rathergate and takes credit.

Breitbart gets a tip from “Pioneer75(?), gives credit and is attacked by he leftist media.

Breitbart was on KFI today, said he’s “agnostic” (I think he meant “apathetic”) about what happens to Weiner, that he (Breitbart) is defending himself from the baseless and unwarranted attacks.

As for Weiner, he’s toast. Emailing his junk to an underage girl is bad enough, but he’s also going to get nailed for witness tampering – sending out talking points to his girls.

      • Banshee's Banned Ghost says:

You should look up the word “agnostic”. It is not just about whether one believes in a deity, and is not synonymous with “apathetic”.

      • Bunk X says:

Yes I should. Note that I put some weasel words in there just to cover my ass. As I understand it, an Agnostic believes in a deity, but subscribes to no particular religion. An Atheist is someone not on their death bed just yet. An Apathetic is Honey Badger.

  45. Repose says:

I just watched the Breitbart video with Anthony and Opie or whoever they are.

WHO CARES ABOUT BREITBART? This means nothing. Call up your buddy Weiner and ask HIM why he felt compelled to be a stupid jerk.

Breitbart is nothing in this story…. if anything a 12th string journalist…. (which, by the way puts him about 10-strings ahead of you!)
