Chuck’s bad prediction

Chuck claims he’s a great political analysis in touch with the public opinion. In December of 2009, he made a prediction about the 2010 midterms. As we see thanks to the efforts of the Boiler Room Crew, it didn’t turn out the way he predicted.

The Result of the November 2nd 2010 midterms a disaster for the Democrats. They lost 6 Senators, 63 House seats, 6 Governorships and scores of state legislator seats. Clearly Charles didn’t admit he was wrong on his prediction. He was silent about the fact he was wrong.

Chuck is no political analyst nor a Nostradamus.  I’ll give him credit about one thing, he didn’t delete this comment!

(Hat Tip: The Boiler Room Crew)

Update: Here is another one of Chuck’s analysis that that is way off.

Chuck clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

(Hat Tip: blogwarriorx)

Update II: On the same thread as Chuck’s bad prediction, another wise and insightful person analyzes.

This was one of Iceweasel’s victims.

    Hah, will now!

It never occured to him that the left has similar problems, what with its associations with communism, organised crime, (both through unions, by the way) a rich history of racism, corruption ( chicago, for instance) anti-americanism…. yet somehow they manage to muddle on through.

Nope. He now only sees problems with Republicans and now he no longer sees any problems with Democrats. This makes no sense whatsoever. I don’t know what happened to him, but whatever affected him, it did so in a most radical manner.

The only other explanation is that he is not being honest about his observations and feelings in order to achive some goal or recompensation.

I still don’t believe it’s inevitable that the MB will end up in power in Egypt. If Obama can convince Mubarak to bail out, and a process begins quickly to set up free elections with a clear timetable, Egypt could still become a model for democratization in the Middle East.

And it’s a little hard to complain about the influence of Islamism, when the US encouraged Iraq to ratify a constitution that enshrines sharia law. The simple fact is that any system that arises in Egypt is going to have to deal with Islamists. Mubarak’s way of doing this was to outlaw and brutally oppress them, and we’re seeing where this approach ends up right now.
    ———————————————————————————-

He’s saying that the “revolution” in Egypt is a result of “brutally” oppressing the Islamists but starts off by saying it’s not “inevitable” that the Muslim Brotherhood will take over. So, in effect, he’s saying it’s an Islamist revolution but not inevitable they’ll take over.
    Confused?
What’s worse is that Charles doesn’t understand that Mohamed ElBaradei IS the Muslim Brotherhood’s guy, at least for now.

    • Daedalus says:

WOW, he’s changing his view from last night.

    • Whatever says:

      >> “Mubarak’s way of doing this was to outlaw and brutally oppress them, and we’re seeing where this approach ends up right now.”

Seemed to work for Daddy Assad.

    • Whatever says:

      >> “What’s worse is that Charles doesn’t understand that Mohamed ElBaradei IS the Muslim Brotherhood’s guy, at least for now.”

And Iran’s. That’s what makes this so dangerous.

    • swamprat says:

Pravda is strangely quiet about this. Also I am not hearing any pro revolution rhetoric from France.

All the usual revolutionaries are not cheerleading. Make of that what you will.

    • sacred ham says:

Sure, you would prefer a method of controlling militant Islamists that doesn’t require brutally oppressing them or killing them. So has Charles mentioned what these kinder, gentler methods of jihadi control are?

    • PeteP says:

His thoughts appear to be completely incoherent. He says one thing and then in the same breath, he says another. If he’s smart, he’ll stop writing his “analysis” comments and leave it to people smarter and more knowledgeable than him.

  4. Beeduwine says:

Eh, the reason you don’t see any focus of the positive aspects of the GOP and the right wing at LGF is because… IT IS NOT ALLOWED.

    • swamprat says:

No kidding. So Republicans are not all racists, religious radicals bent on installing an oppressive theocracy, or capitalistic facists trying to enslave every human old enough to walk through a factory door?

      Who knew?

  7. tunnelrat says:

Didn’t somebody predict that LGF would become the premier blog at which to debate issues? That has not been the case, however it is still the premier blog to kiss the fat mans ass.

He really does amuse me. Reggie was active at LGF the same time I was, he was a nasty, angry little ankle biter. He is funnier now that he has come out of the closet with his full on crazy.

  9. Bagua says:

No way a revolution in Egypt could lead to the Islamists taking over. Look at Iran, people said the same thing there and yet it turned out to be a stable democracy.

  10. Bagua says:

Muslim Brotherhood throws support behind ElBaradei

Anyone still doubt that ElBaradei is a Muslim Brotherhood/Islamist tool?

    • Mark says:

The NYT, Chucks favorite newspaper, is promoting the hell out of the guy.
This is their headline at the moment:
      “Jubilant Protesters Hail ElBaradei”
Watch for Chuckie to start praising him while forgetting ElBaradei’s role in covering up the Iranian nuke program.

It’s a hell of a lot easier when you have a few hundred posters compared to a few hundred thousand.

    Whatever.
I suspect there are many registered here who never post a comment or a page, and at least some of them don’t because they know they’ll be deleted and/or banned.

I stand by my comment that Charles does a far superior job than anyone else out there.

Yep, Charles does a great job, he is currently promoting his 8th grade “Rant Generator” (that someone else wrote..) While the rest of the grown ups are discussing real world issues. Hat Tip: DEZ

Does she mean he does a far better job of reducing his commenters from a few hundred thousand to a few hundred? I’ll give her that-no one can match him in that department.

  14. HolyRomanStuff says:

There is no nuance in his thinking, it is purely one dimensional and shallow. There are no good elements to the Republican party! Who but the shallowest of thinkers could look at the other side of the ideological spectrum and come to the conclusion that is peopled, with no exceptions, with nothing but loons, crazies and evil men?

Incidentally, isn’t it this same type of rhetoric that Charles and crew were claiming helped spur on the Tucson massacre? Isn’t the dehumanization of one’s “enemies” the first step in convincing oneself that the normal moral rules do not apply when dealing with those who one groups under the category of enemies, be they political, personal, what have you?

Personally, I find the idea that any rhetoric, from either political party, spurred on the nut responsible for the Tucson incident laughable – and those who advanced that particular meme to be cynical in the extreme. Having said that, though, it is still my belief that no matter how odious I may find those whom I oppose politically, it is still better to treat them with some modicum of respect, lest our base political discourse devolve into something even worse. Even a modicum of civility is still the social lubricant that allows us to settle our differences with words instead of bullets and thuggery.

Then again, I huff spray paint – silver is my color of choice, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Clueless McDumdum proves once again, thanks to the Boiler Room Crew, that he didn’t know dick about the public reaction to Jerk the Wonder Prez’s and his Dumbocrat henchmen’s attempted socialist maneuvering of governmental policies. In every reputable study, 40% of the country identifies themselves as conservative, and at least 20% identify as “somewhat” conservative.

And perhaps he can explain why Reid won’t let health care repeal be brought to a vote in the Senate, or is resisting as much as he can. There are 22 Democrat Senators that are praying they don’t have to vote on this because if they vote to keep it, they’re toast next November.

For the record, Chawuz and the neo-Koslings, your 2009 predictions of 20 years of unimpeded Democrat dominance of all branches of gov’t inspired me to give generously my money and time to numerous out of state campaigns in 2010.

I’ll have to go through the printouts and check stubs, but I had a pretty high rate of success I’m most proud of the time and effort I put into this one (as well as the outcome):
