Who’s the Wise Guy?

Some wiseacre going by the handle “Wanker678” managed to create some Urban Dictionary entries:

The guilty party will step forward or you’re all banned.

I confess, I wish it had been me. 😆

  2. PaladinPhil says:

I confess that it wasn’t me. But I have voted them up though. 😀

  3. RoboMonkey says:

I saw someone confess to it a while back, but I can’t remember who it was.

I wasn’t expecting some sort of Spanish Inquisition.

  4. grandjunctionite says:

Alas I am not clever enough for these trickses. But I have given the trickster major updingings.

  5. callahan23 says:

’twasn’t me. But I know who it is! – I know who ….
    … and I won’t tell. 😀

  6. grandjunctionite says:

Shouldn’t there be a Chuckjohnson in urban dictionary? re: That drunk bastard got chuckjohnson’d (86’d) from the bar for being a horses ass.

  7. Stillactive says:

    I am not Dictionarious.

  8. My Little Ponytail says:

If “Wanker678” is a clue, Cato? Think about it. That would be Cato’s opinions on those three individuals/topics at this point.

  9. grandjunctionite says:

So much for the barret brown experiment. It was a brief but stormy affair.

    We suck…
An experiment in varying blog audiences

by Barrett Brown on December 15, 2010

Each time I cross-post something I have written here to another blog and view the receptions that an honest attempt at dialog receives elsewhere compared to how it is received here, I grow to appreciate The League even more than I already have since before I was kindly invited to write here.

  10. DEZ says:

    Its not Cato.
You can have 3 guesses though.

  11. DEZ says:

Oh, the trickster prefers being called a smart ass.

  12. A guy with actual degrees in hard sciences. says:

a blog dedicated to false accusations, anti-American slander, straw men and pseudo intellectuals.

I suppose there must be a character limit on these entries. Cataloging all the rhetorical fallacies in which the minions LeGrandFaux-pas habitually engage could take several pages.

  13. My Little Ponytail says:

Now, this is really interesting. Iceweasel, for those of you who don’t know, is a web browser (the un-firefox). If you go to the UD site, and search for “iceseasel”, you get:

    1. Iceweasel 546 up, 7 down
buy iceweasel mugs, tshirts and magnets
A smarmy prostitute from New York.
A whiny pathetic lizard on Little Green Footballs with the wit of a cadaver.
A failed porn actress with HIV.
An animal with a cold heart, a self hating bitch.
    A mindless provocateur.
An animal that only has legs to keep from leaving a trail like a snail, an iceweasel
    ice weasel skank twit moron.

    1. n. An alternative browser based on Mozilla FireFox, created with similar ideals as Gnuzilla. The reason it was created was because the fucks who created Debian didn’t like Mozilla’s shitty Public License, which releases only the source code, not the branding, under the GPL.
Possum: So, did you get the new FireFox?
Dylan: What are you smoking?! It’s called IceWeasel now, n00b! What version of Debian do you think you’re using?!
firefox fx iceweasel browser internet explorer ie google debian linux ubuntu windows source open source gpl mpl free software

    3. Iceweasel 1 thumb up

A term for Debian users or enthusiasts. From the rebranded name for Firefox in Debian.
Iceweasels have made a sensible OS choice.
    debian firefox users enthusiasts linux

IOW, this has been so extremely dinged up, it’s number one above the actual definition. By a huge margin.

    Does said person chase windmills?

  15. snowcrash says:

I know who it is, but it isn’t me. The person isn’t a wanker either(I hope). Wonder how many lizards will secretly vote thumbs up for the iceweasel definition?

  16. grandjunctionite says:

Heh, I have been blocked from viewing comments at the swamp. Like I can’t just get a new IP address? Really?

  17. spaceallah says:

I think comments have been turned off for unregistered visitors.

    • Village Idiot's Apprentice says:

I can’t get access to the comments either.
So I’m guessing it’s a broad blocking of unregistered folks.

That aught to play well with the Wikipedia entry about LGF.

The boy just keeps coming up with stupider sh*t every day.

      • Village Idiot's Apprentice says:

And interesting, even though there are only 129 registered users online right now, his stats show that an amazing 1749 people are online, only reading the main topic of the threads, without having access to the comments.
Roughly the same number as there are on any given day when comments are accessible.
So, either a huge number of people are mesmerized by his insightful posts, or someone is jacking the online numbers.

      • Bunk X says:

Every refresh counts as a unique page view as well.

    • Voltaires Crack says:

Blocking all non-registered viewers from accessing comments?

Cutting his face off to spite his nose.

Feels a lot like the kind of gaming strategy one uses when all is nearly lost.

Apparently, Chuck thinks he’ll win this Monopoly game by throwing hotels on his only remaining properties, Baltic and Mediterranean.

  18. Stillactive says:

That will only last for a few days.
Chunk. People don’t go to 1.0 to read yo links. They go to see what asshatary is going on in the chamber.

  19. Village Idiot's Apprentice says:

Is anyone else having this thread not show up on the home page when they refresh?
The only way I can find it is to look at the most recent comments on the right side of the screen, and click on a comment from the thread to bring me to here.
Weirod crap going on with the inter-tubes today.

  20. Bagua says:

    spaceallah :
I think comments have been turned off for unregistered visitors.

    The doom of secrecy!

Hahaha! The bunker mentality continues. Soon the couple dozen of protected freaks on LGF will be distilling their urine to protect themselves from outside water.

It is, however, a sensible move. Even CJ must be embarrassed by the nasty dimwits who make up his blog at the end of 2010.

  21. Bunk X says:

I suspect he’s on a sock hunt. Since comments are off, some rarely used socks are bound to show up to find out what’s going on, and they’ll be candidates for IP blockage.

  22. Bagua says:

This thread has dissipated from the front page.

  23. grandjunctionite says:

But he doesn’t pays attention to teh stalkers! He deletes them. It must drive him crazy knowing that he has active lizards posting here.

  24. antilgfwarrior says:

    Chuck diagnosed,yes really.

    • Village Idiot's Apprentice says:

Sounds like my Mother in Law to a “T”

Hmmmm…I wonder if she and Chunk might be related.

  25. alcibiates says:

if the comments remain in sooper seekrit mode, then DoD has won the game.

  26. Village Idiot's Apprentice says:

I think Chunk got this idea from Peloesi

“You have to join the site to see what’s inside it”

  27. Formercorpsman says:

  28. Formercorpsman says:

antilgfwarrior :Chuck’s on the ledge, unsure of what to do.

I think you nailed it. He has painted himself into a corner. He is a victim of his own doing. Once upon a time, a catch phrase over there was to “fact check your ass” which is simply being done now.

    He no like it.

  29. a-nona-mouse says:

Was Assange nine days in jail? Did he go in JUST as LVQ went on timeout?

Have you read the gawker emails from Assange? Do they remind you of someone?

Nice! I had forgot about the Combe of Stipends.

  33. DEZ says:

    It was a rhetorical question.

    Ah, sorry.

  34. Persephonexoxo says:
